“First of all you should understand the significance of celebrating Durgashtami. The inner significance of celebrating festivals is to experience Divinity. This has been the motto of Bharathiyas since ancient times. Every festival is associated with divine feelings and a sacred purpose. But unfortunately people today focus only on external ritualistic practices without trying to understand their inner significance. As a result, the performing of Puja, distribution of Prasadam etc., has become mechanical and artificial. They also do different kinds of Archanas or worships. The types of worship offered are devoid of earnestness and devotion (Shraddha and Bhakti). They all can be termed as meaningless rituals.”

- BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA

May the Light of Sai illumine every heart and soul on this auspicious Diwali.

Heart to Heart - All India President Report - September 2016
2nd October 2016

INAUGURATION OF SARVA DHARMA STUPA AT SAI JANANI Bhubaneswar,ODISHA 6th September 2016

The Avatar is far ahead of his times. Swami in his childhood, while studying at Kamalapuram,Swami used to sing one prayer which spoke of Unity of faiths. The message that He wanted to convey was not necessarily to the people of Kamalapuram or its nearby villages, but for the future Indians who will grow in an atmosphere of religious intolerance which will divide the nation into two on the basis of religion. His clarion call in his teens to lead a life on the basis of human values was not meant for the poor and illiterate villagers of Puttaparthi who knew not what Human Value means but had abundance of selfless love in their hearts which they generously gave to one another.

His song on Human values was addressed to the future generations who will lead lives bereft of human values and lead this beautiful planet to the brink of disaster. The Sarva Dharma Stupa at Prashanti of 50ft. height was raised to commemorate the 50th year of the advent of the Avatar and carried the message of Unity of Faiths, which is relevant even to this day and will continue to remain relevant as long as men of different faiths do not cast off their differences and learn to live in peace and brotherhood.

The inspiration to build this Stupa came as a flash of lightening from our beloved Lord, when the devotees from Odisha were visibly shaken by the tumultuous events of April 2011 and the Organization was drawing up programmes involving their mass participation, where they will stop brooding over their loss and march towards building a Sai Samrajya in Odisha, keeping Swami’s 90th birth day in view.

This Stupa is of 36ft height has gained historical importance, as this stands out as the tallest Stupa in Odisha. One more thing to note here is that Temple sculptors from Andhra joined the masons from Odisha to make this dream a reality in record time.

Today the whole of Odisha echoes with the name of Sai and every activity we undertake ensures 100% participation of all devotees and our Organization is emerging as an Organization dedicated to selfless service with an undercurrent of spirituality.

On 6th Sep 2016 (Tuesday), Sri RJ Ratnakar, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust alongwith other dignitaries and office bearers of Odisha inaugurated Sarva Dharma Stupa amidst the spiritual Vedic vibrations.

Sathya Sai Seva Organizations brings into realty, a massive 20,000 Sq ft ‘Satya Sai Ghaat’ on the banks of River Ganga at Rishikesh
Initiative undertaken to provide safety and hygiene access for the tourists and pilgrims including residents and the first Sri Sathya Sai Naam Sankeertan Sammelan to promote young musicians was inaugurated.

Special Guest - Dr.Narendranath Reddy - Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai International Organizations. Inaugurated the ‘Sathya Sai Ghat’ alongwith other dignitaries and office bearers from across India.

All 3 days the procession from Mandir and the Vedam chanting was performed and lead by Sri Ved Narayan and team from Prasanthi Nilayam and ably supported by Vedic pundits and our own brothers from the National Veda chanting team.

In line w'th the holistic view ever emphasized by Bhagawan on women, celebrating the Womanhood, a 2-day All India Mahila Convention was organized by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations - India, a first of its kind event, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The Convention got underway in Sai Kulwant Hall, inaugurated by Smt Kamala Pandya, National Coordinator, Mahila Wing, SSSSO,India. Addressing the vast audience of over 3000 pan-Indian women participants, Smt Pandya, herself a Balvikas veteran, beautifully narrated the story of creation, wherein God created the most potent part of His creation, the woman. The SSSS in the prestigious Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations stands for the wholesome message for every single devotee, Silent Sitting and Prayer, Study of Sai Literature, Self Audit to move on to Selfless Seva, reminded the speaker advocating the greater need for everyone to understand the inner strength each one has been conferred upon.

Deliberating on the topic, "The Role of Women in Inculcating Values in Society in a Value Based Society", the speaker emphasized that despite a great decline in the status of women, after a glorious past from the Vedic times, women are still the foundation stone and pillar of the family, society, country and thus the world. Having placed at the crossroads now, we are in the midst of a very very turbulent society, wherein rampant materialism, onslaught of consumerism, with erosion in the focus of society leading to sense gratification getting an upper hand, reminded Smt Sharma, emphasizing the greater relevance of women in today's complicated times. One side a woman is as soft as butter and on the other side, she is as strong as steel, reminded the speaker, exhorting fellow participants to live up to their inner spirits.

Selected dignitaries from different States were honored next, for their outstanding contribution to the Sri Sathya Sai Service activities. A musical programme next by the Karnataka Wing of SSSSO was the final offering for the morning.

Women are the repositories of character and virtue. Proving this point, portraying the inestimable potency and power of women, students from the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Dharmakshetra and Aksa Village, Mumbai presented a Musical Dance Drama entitled "Nari Ek Shakthi" on the second session of National Mahila Convention in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation that was originally conceived over two decades ago, in 1996, had a long wait until the D-Day dawned today here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.

The Dance Drama in beautiful skits depicted the women as Crown Jewel of His Creation, presenting stories as often narrated by Bhagawan in His Divine discourses. Stories included that of Gopikas unstinting devotion to Lord Krishna, the illustrious story of Savitri, who w'th her power of chastity could w'n her dead husband back from the hands of Yama Dharma Raja, story of Putlibai, illustrious mother of Gandhiji, who w'th her strict parenting adhering to Truth and Righteousness could present a great son to Mother India, story of Easwar Chandra Vidya Sagar whose life was moulded by the character of his mother, etc.

It was the story of transformation of a modern-day heart that discounted the virtuous presence of his better half at home.

A song of glory to Mother Eswaramma next was followed by a final skit, on the illustrious fight shown by a little North East girl, who braved the British Army, holding aloft the Indian Flag, dedicating and sacrificing her life selflessly for Mother India.

A final song "Vande Sai Maa.." marked the culmination of the colorful evening presentation.

The first ever All India Mahila Convention of SSSSO - India came to a grand culmination this morning at the Sai Kulwant Hall with the presentation of an elaborate report on the deliberations and resolutions in the immediate Divine Omnipresence of Bhagawan. This was followed by an inspirational speech by Sri Nimish Pandya, All India President of SSSSO, and a devotional music presentation by Delhi Mahila Wing.

Congratulating the Mahilas for their outstanding contribution in making the convention a grand success, the AIP reminded the audience of the need to relinquish any feeling of 'doership', as the one and only Doer Is Bhagawan HimSelf.
