Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2015

If we are not the body and are actually the Self, why do we suffer from pain, grief and agony? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today.

When common people say, ‘Idi naa dehamu’ (this is my body), scholars would interpret the expression ‘naa dehamu’ and say, it connotes ‘I am not the body’ (as ‘naa’ means ‘not’). Extending the same logic, it is possible for you to maintain a state of perfect equanimity... unaffected by pain and pleasure at all times by affirming, ‘these sorrows and difficulties as well as happiness and pleasure are not mine. I am beyond these dualities.’ When you say, ‘It is my body’ doesn’t it automatically imply, ‘I’ is different from ‘the body’? When you are separate from your body, why should you feel the pain out of it? The truth is, you are unable to overcome the delusion of body attachment and are also unable to bear the pain caused to the body, as you remain at the level of a human being. Be aware that as long as you are attached to the body, sorrows, difficulties and pain will haunt you.

      - Divine Discourse, Jan 1, 2009.

Pleasure is an interval between two sorrows. -BABA.

Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital is a novel outreach programme that was started in April 2006. The hospital has the noble mission of taking healthcare to the rural doorstep. Every month, for twelve days, the mobile clinic with its team of doctors visits a village every day, offering diagnostic services and even performing minor surgeries and dental procedures. Where, urgent medical attention is necessary, the patients are referred to local Sri Sathya Sai hospitals for further treatment.

The hospital, a Siemens Sanjeevani, is equipped with diagnostic services including, X-ray, ECG, Ultrasound and Pathology. Offering their services free and in a humanitarian spirit each month is a team of 30 doctors, taken from a panel of 600 doctors ranging from professors to junior physicians and including private practitioners. The emphasis is on holistic healing over and above therapeutics.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2015

How can we live a life of freedom? Bhagawan explains to us the phenomenon of genuine freedom and the benefit of attaining the same.

To be free is your birthright! When you guide your steps along the path illumined by the universal unbound dharma you will become really free; if you stray away from the light, you will get bound. What you call ‘freedom’ is a certain type of bondage. Genuine freedom is obta...ined only when delusion is absent, when there is no identification with the body and senses, and no servitude to the objective world. People who have escaped from this servitude and achieved freedom in the genuine sense are very few in number. Bondage lies in every act done with the consciousness of the body as the Self, for one is then the play thing of the senses. Only those who have escaped this fate are free; this ‘Freedom’ is the ideal stage to which dharma leads. With this stage constantly in mind, one who engages in the activity of living, can become a liberated person (muktha-purusha).

      - Dharma Vahini, Ch 2.

When the mind and the intellect unite, humanness reaches a state of freedom, which is referred to as liberation (Moksha). -BABA.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2015

What is the Truth we must all strive to recognise and live by? Bhagawan clearly explains to us today.

Uttering the truth is easy. But indulging in falsehood is a tortuous process. One has to take a lot of trouble to cover up one lie with more lies. Hence it is said: Speak the truth, speak what is pleasing, do not utter truth that is unpleasant (Sathyam brooyath; priyam brooyath; na brooyath Sathyam Ap...riyam). God is the embodiment of Truth. Truth is the foundation of the universe. This transcendental changeless Truth is beyond mind, speech and the categories of time and space. Vedanta has described it as ‘Ritam’. Live up to this Truth. Internalize the fact that the Lord is present in everyone. Only when you recognise the omnipresence of the Divine, will you easily experience the Divine. Hence from today give up swartha (selfishness), turn your mind towards the Supreme (Parartha), lead a life of Truth (Yadartha) and sanctify your lives. If you earn the love of God even to the slightest extent, you will experience infinite joy.

      - Divine Discourse, 15-Sep-1988.

Believe that God resides in all beings. Speak such words as would spread goodness, truth and beauty. - BABA

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2015

What can be achieved through Bhakti or devotion? Bhagawan clearly explains it’s immense benefits to us today.

There is nothing greater in the world than Bhakti (devotion). Once sage Narada demonstrated to his disciples how devotion is greater than anything in the world, including the Divine. While the Divine was greater than the cosmos, which the Lord as Vamana could measure in two steps, the Lord H...imself is held in his heart by the devotion of the devotee. Devotion bestows the highest benefits. Devotion alone is the means to Realisation. Devotion alone confers supreme peace. Devotion is the panacea for all ills. Divine love encompasses all sacred acts. To achieve oneness with the Divine, one will have to be prepared to sacrifice everything. It is not easy for anyone to recognise the truth about the Divine. His leelas (miraculous sportive activities) are beyond the grasp of the mind and speech. There is no Veda or Sastra superior to devotion.

      90th BIRTHDAY SPECIAL:
      RADIO SAI PAINTING/SKETCHING COMPETITION

      http://media.radiosai.org/journals/vol_13/01SEPT15/Radio-Sai-Painting-Sketching-Competition-2015.htm
      ...
Right from the time man began to think he wondered at the mystery and splendour of everything around him, be it the gorgeous sun rise, the gently gliding silvery clouds, the steady and nimble stream, or the spellbinding starry night. He was just filled with awe. It was not only awe-inspiring but also soul-fulfilling. He spent hours just marvelling at the magnificence surrounding him. In fact this filled him with so much joy that he longed to live this experience all the time in some way or the other. That is perhaps why he started recreating these scenes in his own way, with his limited but innovative tools and pastels. We thus have amazing cave paintings and marking of ancient man.

When art is straight from the innermost core of our heart, it is as powerful as the Divine Himself. In fact the Divine submits Himself to such an expression of heightened purity and intense faith channelled as beautiful art.

Therefore soulful art is one royal road to God's heart. And we at Radio Sai are happy to offer you a platform where you can express and share your masterpieces of art as an offering to the Divine Master.

These are the three categories for this first ever Radio Sai Painting/Sketching Competition.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2015

What is the simple truth that we must not forget, that will enable us to reach the goal? Bhagawan shares with us a precious tip today.

You may install idols and worship them. But do not forget the inner significance of all that worship. All external activities are necessary only to help you to get the spirit of non-duality and experience unity in diversity. Love and sacrifice are very important. Wher...e there is pure, unsullied, selfless, sacred and sublime love there is no fear at all. Giving and not getting is the underlying principle of spiritual sadhana. Your heart is full of love, but you are using it only for selfish purposes instead of diverting it towards God. God is in the heart and not in the head. The heart is full of love. Every day, remind yourself that God is one; all religions uphold the same principle of ‘One God, who is omnipresent.’ Do not have contempt for any religion, as each is a pathway to God. Fostering love towards your fellow-beings, receive the blessings of the Divine. This is the goal of life.

      - Divine Discourse, 9-Sep-1994.

Selfless Love will achieve everything. Selfless, pure, unalloyed love also leads you to God.-BABA

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2015

What is true realization? How can we attain it? Bhagawan lovingly makes it crystal clear for us today.

Every being is an embodiment of the Divine. True human relationship can grow only when this truth is recognised. The first stage is where you recognise, ‘I am in the Light.’ Next is when you know, ‘The Light is in me,’ and finally you realise, ‘I am the Light.’ ‘I’ represents love and light which connotes Supreme Wisdom (Jnana). When love and light unite, there is Realisation. The path of devotion is easier than the path of wisdom. Love should come from within, not forced from outside. Develop spontaneous love. The attitude of petitioning to God for favours should be given up. Love of God should not be based on quid pro quo, seeking favours in exchange for prayers and offerings to God. Place your faith in God and do your duty to the best of your ability. Saturate yourself with love and share it with all.

      -- Divine Discourse,15-Sep-1988.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2015

Why should we under all circumstances try to live by the instructions of Bhagawan? Bhagawan Himself explains to us today.

You may have immense faith in God. But from time to time, the power of Maya may undermine this faith. So be vigilant. In Mahabharata even staunch devotees of Krishna like Dharmaraja and Arjuna displayed hesitancy in following the advice of Krishna and had to be reminded of their duty ...through Bhishma and Draupadi respectively. Faith in God should never waver. In no circumstance should anyone go against the injunctions of the Divine. Whatever worship one may offer, however intensely one may meditate, if one transgresses the commands of the Lord, these devotional practices become futile. The reason is that the Lord has no selfish objectives or goals. It is out of small-minded, narrow and selfish motives that people choose to act against the sacred and noble commandments of the Lord. Even small acts of transgression may in due course assume dangerous proportions.

      - Divine Discourse, 12-Sep-1991.

Why should we strive harder every day, to experience Divinity? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today.

God is infinite. It is impossible to measure Him or compare Him with anything, for there is no ‘other’ to compare. He is omnipresent. The Vedas declare, “He is One alone without a second“ (Ekam eva Advitiyam). The Divine willed: “I am One; I shall become many” (Ekoham Bahusyaam). By His Will God manifested Himself in the many. All religions have accepted this truth. The Bible declares: "God created man in His own image." Thus from the One, the manifold cosmos emerged. With the growth of knowledge, the animal nature in man has diminished and he has been able to develop and refine his culture. As the saying goes, Divine appears in human form (Daivam maanusha rupena). Hence do not consider yourself as a mere product of Nature, a creature of the senses and the physical elements. You are an embodiment of Divinity.

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2015

What is Delusion (Maya)? How can we protect ourselves from yielding to it? Bhagawan clearly explains to us the phenomenon, its impact and a simple solution.

In the twilight of dusk, one mistakes a thick rope for a snake. When the place is lit, only rope remains - the snake was never there. A momentary delusion caused the appearance of the snake and the absence of the rope. This phenomenon is called May...a. Maya makes you imagine the presence of what is not there and believe in the existence of that which is nonexistent. The combined power of Prakriti, Avidya and Maya (Phenomenal world, Ignorance and Delusion) makes people forget their true nature. People often imagine that they accomplished many things, and believe that all their achievements are entirely due to their own efforts and capabilities. They forget the truth that there is a higher power which is the driving force for action as well as the results thereof! This is the effect of delusion (bhrama). To help get rid of this delusion and enable one to comprehend the inherent divine nature, the ancients suggested prayers.

Puttaparthi, the abode of our beloved Lord, celebrated the holy festival of Ganesha in a grand way. There were so many Ganesha idols installed every where and people were seen going to each Ganesha praying for clearing the obstacles of life.

Mean while in the ashram the programme started off with devotional songs by the students and the students of Higher primary school had a small dance presentation

      .

In the evening the atmosphere further lit up by two eminent speakers, Sri. Prasad Rao, Secretary, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and Sri. Anil Kumar, the blessed translator of Swami.

Sri. Prasada Rao spoke on the significance of this festival.

Prof.Anil kumar quoting Swami and mixing both Telugu and English spoke in length on the inner significance of Ganesha festival

He also urged the devotees to stick to Swami's teachings and not to deter from the path of spirituality when it goes against Swami's teachings and principles.

He re-iterated the fact that there cannot be any duplication or replacement to Swami and Swami is the only original and there cannot be any duplicate.

He asked the devotees to read the Sai Literature and anything that goes against His teachings has to be discarded no matter how nice it looks from out side.

Excerpts from Divine Discourses and a Special quote of Bhagawan Baba to celebrate this Grand occasion of Vinayak Chaturthi and to realise the inner significance of this holy occasion.

“Vinayaka is the master of every kind of knowledge. Learning is related to the intellect (buddhi). It is not mere scholarship. Familiarity with books is not knowledge. One's entire life is a continuous process of learning. Any process of inquiry is related to learning. But basically our inquiry should be concerned with finding out what is transient and what is permanent. This is true knowledge.”

A Confluence of Seva and Bhakti at the Godavari Maha Pushkaram

Sri Sathya Sai Organisation - Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

In the Bharatiya tradition, rivers have always been revered as life sustaining Divine Mothers and sanctifying holy waters. Pushkaram is a traditional festival dedicated to the worship of rivers, especially of 12 that are considered worthy of special adoration. Each of these rivers is associated with a zodiac sign and depending on which zodiac sign the planet Jupiter is in that year, the corresponding river is worshipped. Thus, though Pushkaram is an annual festival, the worship of a particular river happens once in 12 years.

While this is the festival that occurs once in 12 years, a Maha Pushkaram is celebrated once in 12 such cycles - which means it occurs once in 144 years. The Maha Pushkaram of the Godavari river (that originates in Maharashtra state and flows through the twin states of Andhra and Telangana before it merges into the Bay of Bengal) was celebrated this year 2015. The festivities that lasted 12 days from 14 to 25 July 2015 drew not less than 110 million pilgrims over all. The worship was offered at different ghats which are spread across the two states.

This massive gathering and a celebration of this scale would definitely throw up innumerable opportunities of Seva, and as always the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSSO) stepped up to grab the opportunity and please Swami through their selfless service. This involved months of meticulous planning, and the aim was to deliver a wide range of service activities directed towards ensuring the convenience of the visiting pilgrims and help in enhancing their spiritual experience of participating in the Godavari Pushkaram.

Sevadals from 17 districts participated in the Seva, and in all well over 7,000 sevadal, men and women, were on duty. To offer a perspective, the number of sevadal on duty in the whole of Prasanthi Nilayam (including the super speciality hospital) is generally much less than 2000. Marshalling this kind of a work force over a period of 12 days is clearly no mean achievement. But what was more commendable is the variety of areas in which assistance was offered to the pilgrims.

First and foremost in such huge gatherings, the distribution of food and water becomes critical. Though the government does make arrangement for these, any contribution in this regard could be considered welcome and even quite necessary. Food distribution centres were set up at various places and the food was offered as prasadam. In all, over a lakh people were served each day.

Food was distributed even to the pilgrims standing in queues to make it convenient for them. Apart from food, the Sevadal thoughtfully made arrangements for milk, which was offered to children and the aged. Another sight that became common for the pilgrims was that of men with blue scarfs carrying a backpack-water-can and moving about the crowd distributing water. 1,500 such water cans were procured for this event, and sevadal were quenching the thirst of the pilgrims, round the clock.

Special attention was extended to the elderly and physically challenged who came to participate in the Pushkaram. Hundreds of wheelchairs were pressed into service and the Sai youth were enthusiastically wheeling these devotees all day long. Some of the Sevadal even positioned themselves at the ghats to help those infirm who wanted to take a holy dip. Apart from helping the elders, Sevadal trained in disaster management were positioned at various places to avert accidents of drowning occur while the pilgrims were taking their dip. Also the Sevadal were helping the authorities to keep the waters clean by removing flowers and other such offerings from time to time.

Two mobile medical vans equipped with facilities like X-Ray, ECG, Oxygen Supply and Blood test lab were deployed to address medical emergencies. Doctors and paramedics were on duty at various Ghats at the time when they were opened for the pilgrims. Clearly, the organisation covered all areas in which they could help.

Another thoughtful and essential service that the Organisation provided was that of setting up cloakroom facilities near the ghats, and the Rajahmundry and Godavari railway stations. This was much appreciated and was very helpful for the pilgrims, most of whom were making short visits. In addition, the sevadal members set up counters where devotees could even deposit their footwear for safekeeping.

Apart from this, a number of cultural programmes too were arranged at the different ghats. Spiritual talks and cultural programmes by members of the organisation and Balvikas children were organised. Also, the Prema Jyoti exhibition that was blessed by Bhagawan in 2007 was set up at the Thyagaraja Kalakshetram, Rajahmundry.

The Sri Sathya Sai Gurukulam school in Rajahmundry was abuzz with activities all through the event. It transformed into a centre for the seva activities in Rajahmundry, the town where four ghats where the Pushkaram festivities were being held were situated. Talks and cultural programmes too were organised at the Gurukulam.

In all, the Sevadals performed commendable service at the following places: Pushkara, Markandeya, Gowthami and Saraswati Ghats in Rajahmundry. Annavaram Temple in East Godavari. Kovvuru, Narasapuram, Pattiseema and Siddhantham ghats in West Godavari district. Bhadrachalam in Khammam district and Kandakurthi in Nizamabad district. Basara, Mancherial and Gudem in Adilabad district and Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district.

An activity of such scale needed enormous planning and we are sure these sevadals made Bhagawan very proud through their Seva. Such was the efficiency of the Sevadal that even the police began delegating works of crowd control and safety to these dedicated Sai servitors. We extend our hearty congratulations to every participant of this holy seva.

The Adorable Cups of Cosmic Consciousness - Photos Gallery

The best way to describe the Cosmic Consciousness, the Bhagavad Gita says, is to know Him as “Akshara” meaning, the Imperishable One. Another name is Atma or Brahman. Just as ocean water can fill into a container of any shape or size, this Supreme Atma too fills itself into the beautiful cups of our imagination purely for our joy and bliss. Each cup is captivating because the Consciousness is the same.

GRAND & GLORIOUS GANESH CHATURTHI 2015
A special Radiosai facebook timeline cover for the auspicious occasion of Vinayak Chaturthi.

Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated on the Chaturthi i.e. the fourth day of Indian lunar month of Bhadrapada. It usually falls in the month of September in the English calendar. Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed God is usually worshiped before commencing any activity in... order to remove obstacles and ensure success of the Endeavour. He is also the bestowed of worldly intelligence and spiritual wisdom.

Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the important Hindu festivals celebrated throughout India with a great devotion. This day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the elephant-headed son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Ganesh is the symbol of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. People bring idols of Lord Ganesh to their homes and do worship. The duration of this festival varies from 1 day to 11 days, depending on the place and tradition. On the last day of the festival the idols are taken out in a colourful and musical procession and immersed traditionally in water.

Let us pray to Lord Vinayaka to bestow wisdom and divine knowledge upon all of us. Let this Ganesh Chaturthi bring Morality, Honesty, Spirituality in our daily life and may Ganapathi removes all the obstacles in the Spiritual Journey of our life.

Why should we worship Ganesha and what are the benefits? Bhagawan clearly explains to us today.

Easwara blessed Ganapathi saying, “I have many attributes, but not Your intelligence. Hence, before offering worship to Me, let all people worship You. This is the boon I confer on You.” Easwara is a parent who conferred such an honour of a higher status than His own on His son. Hence Ganapathi represents no commonplace principle. He is the embodiment of all potencies. He is the abode of every kind of intelligence. Nothing untoward can happen wherever He is present. Ganapathi occupies the position of one who is the source of all prosperity. Moreover, when He is invoked before any undertaking, there will be no impediments to its completion. People look upon the Vighneswara festival as some routine affair. But Vighneswara embodies all the forms and all the powers of all the deities. It is not enough to worship Him once a year. We must worship Him always.

Why should we welcome trials and tribulations with an open mind? Bhagawan clearly explains to us today.

For spiritual progress kshama (forbearance) is the real basis or foundation. Great people and countries have lost their glory, prestige, and reputation because of the disappearance of Kshama. Without patience and the capacity for forbearance, one becomes spiritually weak. Such weakness leads to bad feelings, undesirable thoughts, and unbecoming actions. This virtue is best cultivated under adverse circumstances, and one must therefore gladly welcome troubles instead of regarding them as unwelcome. Thus times of distress, and an environment of sorrow and misery offer the ideal opportunity for the development of Kshama. However, because of mental weakness and ignorance, we shun painful experiences and distress. You should not be weak; be brave and welcome troubles. Let them come, more the merrier. Only with such a courageous attitude, you would be able to bring out the kshama hidden within you.

Why should we refine our every thought, word and deed? Bhagawan clearly explains the benefits to us today.

Study of books alone will not enhance your capability; they will merely provide you with superficial or bookish knowledge. This obviously is not enough. Real capability and strength come by tapping the Inner Power latent in you. All that is outside is artificial. Real truth and power are both ins...ide, in your heart. It is the heart that must be strengthened, but, unaware of this fact, people become furiously active in the external world, only to get lost there. There are many types of food catering to the needs of the gross body but what about food for the heart? That food can be obtained only when you turn your head toward God. You must understand the subtle linkages here – food, head, and God. Thus, along with the acquisition of worldly knowledge, you must also give importance to culture and refinement.

Though given below are ‘the winners’ of the contest, we must add that these are not the only publish-worthy e...ntries we received. There were plenty others which on another day, with another set of judges might have taken the trophy home. So we wish to let all the participants know that their participation is deeply appreciated by all of us at Radio Sai.

We would like to make a special mention of all the children who participated. We acknowledge that it would’ve been a better idea to have had a separate contest for you children. Bhagawan willing, may be sometime in future we will. And also, in time we will be publishing the stories that won the contest and our hearts on our website for all to enjoy.

What is the supremacy of the virtue of Kshama? Bhagawan explains about this noblest of noble qualities today.

For acquiring selfless love, the quality of kshama or forbearance is a vital necessity. (kshama is a word rich in meaning. Besides forbearance, it also implies extreme patience and an enormous capacity to forget as also forgive). Every individual must cultivate this noble quality. Kshama is not a...chieved by reading books or learnt from an instructor. Nor can it be received as a gift from someone else. This prime virtue of kshama can be acquired solely by self-effort, by facing squarely diverse problems and difficulties of various sorts, by going through anxieties and suffering as well as sorrow. In the absence of kshama, man becomes susceptible to all kinds of evil tendencies. Hatred and jealousy easily take root in a person lacking this virtue. Divinity is merely the combined manifestation of prema (love) and kshama.

    - Divine Discourse, 25-May-2000.

Song: Jo Tum Todo Piya Mein Nahi Todu Re

    Download: http://goo.gl/lrYYVx

    Lyrics:
Jo Tum Todo Piya Mein Nahi Todu Re
Tose Prit Todi Krishna Kaun Sang Jodu Krishna

O Beloved! Even if Thou were to break away, I will not part with Thee.
If I break this bond of Love I have with Thee, whom else am I to join in union O Krishna?

Tum Bhaye Taruvar Mein Bhayi Patiya
Tum Bhaye Sarovar Mein Bhayi Machiya

If a tree Thou art, a fluttering leaf on it I shall be.
If a lake Thou art, a fish in it I would be.
(Meera uses such comparisons that suggest that the Lord does not need her, but she cannot live without the Lord. A tree can live after it sheds all leaves, but a leaf cannot when it parts the tree. There can be a water body without fishes, but a fish cannot survive outside water.)

Tum Bhaye Girivar Mein Bhayi Chara
Tum Bhaye Chanda Mein Bhayi Chakora

If a mountain Thou art, a stream I shall be
If the moon Thou art, the Chakora bird I shall be.

(Now she uses comparisons that suggest her focus on the Lord. Like the stream that winds around the mountain, and like the Chakora bird that is said to be so fascinated by the moon that it cannot take its eyes off it.)

Tum Bhaye Moti Prabhuji Ham Bhaye Dhaga
Tum Bhaye Sona Ham Bhaye Suhaga

If a pearl Thou art O Lord, the string that holds it I shall be.
If gold Thou art, its glitter I shall be.

(The comparison here is of such entities that are valueless without the main object. The string that holds the pearls together becomes a necklace, and the glitter when from gold is considered special.Sona-Suhaga is an idiomatic combination, which we have represented as Gold and glitter.)

Bayi Mira Ke Prabhuji Brij Ke Basi, Suno He Gopal
Tum Mere Thakur Mein Teri Dasi

Listen O Lord of Meera, resident of Brij (Vrindavan) Gopal
My Master Thou art, Thy servant I am.

What is the secret to be rich and happy? Bhagawan makes it crystal clear to us today.

Embodiments of divine Love! As long as a person is conceited and egotistic, no one will like that person. Even their wedded spouse and their own children, though they may appear to respect them externally, will not be happy with an arrogant person. As long as one is filled with ego, one can never be really happy. Theref...ore, at the very outset, you should get rid of your ego (ahamkara). If one is filled with anger, one cannot experience joy (Krodham hithva na sochathi). Only when anger is subdued, happiness can be experienced. As long as one is filled with insatiable desires, one cannot feel really wealthy. The moment the person gives up desires, all riches will come to them. Till the moment a person is greedy, they will be a stranger to happiness. When you give up greed, you will feel endowed with all riches.

What is the difference between Divine Love and worldly love? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us in crystal clear terms today.

You have to seek love only through love. The Gopikas prayed: “Oh Krishna, play Your sweet flute and sow the seeds of love in the desert of loveless hearts. Let the rain of love fall on earth and make the rivers of love flow.” The rivers of love must flow continuously. It is enough,... if you can understand this one principle of love. This love is everything. Treat this love as the be-all and end-all of your life. Do not direct your love towards material objects. If you continue to love for love’s sake, then such a love will be eternal. It is not the body that is to be loved, but the principle of love. All the names and forms are evanescent and impermanent. Love directed towards temporary objects or beings is physical, whereas love for love’s sake is eternal. Love is God. You must attain Divinity with such love.

- Divine Discourse, 28-Oct-2003.

There is no nobler quality in the world than love. It is wisdom. It is righteousness. It is wealth. It is Truth.-BABA

Today’s Sai Inspires from Prasanthi Nilayam, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2015

What is the source of all energy? Why should we be mindful of this fact? Bhagawan lovingly explains to us today.

There is electromagnetic energy in every body. Nature is the embodiment of the same energy. This energy may assume different forms, but its essential character is one and the same. A lighted bulb, a fan that is revolving, and many other things working through electrical power depend on the s...ame kind of current. The energy may manifest itself in the form of light, heat, or magnetic energy, but it proclaims the power of the Divine, which is the source of all energy. This electromagnetic energy in man expresses itself in the form of radiation. It is also called reflection of the ‘Inner being’. The power of sight, hearing, speech, digestion, and movement of the limbs is derived from this energy. Water also contains this energy. In fact, the entire cosmos is permeated by this divine energy. On the basis of this, Vedanta declares, “Sarvam khalu idam Brahma (verily, every being is Divine).”
