Approximate Calculation of Swami’s Age
English Calendar 1 year = 365 days
Swami lived for 30833 days i.e 30833/365 = 84.47397 years
Alternatively 365 days * 84.47397 years = 30833 days
Lunar Calendar 1 month = 27 days
Therefore 1 year = 324 days
Swami lived for 30833 days i.e 30833/324 = 95.16 years
As per Hindu Calendar the day you are born is counted as 1 year
Therefore 95.16 years + 1 year = 96.16 years
Therefore Swami was right.
He lived upto 96 years as per Lunar
Calendar which he followed
"In regard to every matter, my thoughts are
always sublime and exemplary. You must note that Swami's life is in
His own hands and not in those of anyone else. If I will it, I can
live for as long as I please. I can also terminate it at will. It is
my will that decides and not any other person. The reason is My
purity, selflessness, and divinity. What other testimony is called
for? The life of the pure hearted is in their own hands and not in
those of others." Discourse, 3 July 1993
Garuda Birds during Swami’s Samadhi Day - A divine
phenomenon!!
I was attending the foundation ceremony of the Super Specialty
Hospital in Puttaparthi.
There was a devotee friend from Kerala present during the functions
when Swami was personally blessing the foundation stone laying
ceremony. He referred to the belief in Kerala that the divine bird
Garuda (eagles with white bands on its necks) would circle the place
during the Initiation of any Divine Program. He said that he had
experienced such happenings many times in Kerala. He was wondering
why the eagles were not showing up when Swami was embarking on a
Divine program. Within a few minutes, we were taken aback to see 4
such eagles approaching the venue and circling the area. Quietly all
the four of them flew down and perched individually on four
different poles erected for decoration. They sat through the
function and till Swami drove away from the scene. We were delighted
at this strange and extraordinary event, happening within a few
minutes of my friend's utterance. It is only a reminder that all the
programs of Swami are auspicious bringing Mangalam, i.e, well being
and happiness to His devotees nay, to the entire mankind.
Such a Divine phenomenon was recently reported by Sri Satish Naik,
in one of his postings, on Swami’s Samadhi Day. He reports that
There were also a group of Garuda birds that were flying above Sai
Kulwanth hall.

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to take a moment to say something about the transition
of Sathya Sai Baba.
I was surprised I took His passing as hard as I did. I thought I was
better trained than to worship His form, evidently not. I'm ok with
that. I even tried to joke, nothing really worked. It just had to
play out.
After 5 days .... My grief has lifted .... Just like everything
passes in this temporary world of ours. This was one of His main
teachings, not to worship the form, even His.
I know that sounds odd to many westerners who saw nothing but the
worship of His form, but this was not what Baba asked for. It was
something He put up with. It was a tradition to honor such a being.
I would like to share a few things that stood out during this
process by sharing the love that others had for this one-of-a-kind
Guru.
But firstly, I can't imagine how hard this must have been for the
people who live in Puttapharti. My grief was nothing compared to
theirs. Some of them grew up with Him in this tiny village. Most of
them grew up honoring His message of giving. The whole village built
their life around Him. It's no wonder the women of the village
couldn't bare their loss.
Someone wrote:
"Puttaparthi that sung lullabies to infant Sathya, that fondled and
nurtured Little Sathya to Sri Sathya Sai and that received the
abundance of His love and care over and over again during the past
eight and a half decade finally earned a day to grieve, though the
day would be marked in the annals of Divine History as the most
significant one, when Avatar of the age was laid to rest. ...This is
definitely not of her choice."
But it was His choice and no doubt they will learn to reconcile
that. This is why the picture of Him offering namaskar to his
devotees at His final darshan before he went into the hospital was
so profound. Namaskar is the honoring of the Holy. It is similar to
namaste, the God in me honors the God in you. All through the ashram
devotees did this every day as soon as they laid eyes on Him. They
considered this a divine act of Darshan. However, this is not
something He did!
So for Him to offer this gesture at the end of the advent of
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai left many speechless. It was a profound
ending gesture by Him honoring the God within all those He had the
pleasure of serving.
Someone wrote:
At the end of His last darshan, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba put His
hands together
For all at Sai Kulwant Hall.
Devotees found this strange and now we know why.
Our deepest Gratitude to you Dear Sai.
You are Everything to us.
You will remain with us in our hearts forever and
We will love you and serve you in all forever.
Jai Sai Ram!

His frail body shows us how an enlightened being can take on the
frailties of His own beloved humanity.
He, himself, spoke about this.
Whether you are one who followed the life of this man or not ...
Please know this ... That His life was His message. He accomplished
what was said could not be done.
He built schools for Higher Learning from elementary through
college. It was free to those who attended. He offered the highest
form of schooling, the learning of good character, while having the
highest standard of quality academics.
He built Super-Specialty hospitals, the best in India, that offered
all services for free to the poor. The patients were cared for and
loved daily in the finest environment modern technology could
provide.
He brought fresh water to villages in desperate need when the
government said they could not do it .... He did.
He taught millions how to love their brothers and sisters by His
example, even to love and forgive those who spread vicious rumors
about him that were proved unfounded by a court of law.
Yes, Sathya Sai may have departed His physical Body, but He leaves a
legacy like no other. Now He has left us to our own efforts to learn
to live it.
Allow me to end my tribute with this poem by a devotee ...
THE BELLS OF AYODHYA
The eyes of the April clouds
Are red-rimmed with tears
Even the stars have
Lost their twinkle
Trees once emerald with
The bloom of Spring
Droop sobbing like
Black widowed weeping willows
The Lord of Parthi has left
His earthly abode
The cherished treasure of Bhu Loka
Has stolen our hearts away
It is indeed a somber time for Humanity
And Yet....
Citizens of Heaven are rejoicing
The King of Vaikuntha has returned
Can you imagine the Bliss of
Easwaramma, Pedda Raju, Hislop, Murphet
And those who have crossed over~
Their rapture knows no bounds
Like Rama Returning to Ayodhya
I have cast off my raven robes
Swami! Truly Paradise and You are
Eternally within all of us
Where grief has no grounds to take root.

24 HOURS AFTER THE MAHA SAMADHI... 28TH APRIL 2011
28TH APRIL 2O11
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
24 hours have passed since our Lord's Divine Body was laid to rest
in His most favourite "play ground", Sai Kulwanth Hall which
witnessed innumerable leelas of Kaliyuga Avatar Sri Sathya Sai Baba
witnessed by millions of His chosen ones on various occassions.
Coincidentally this day 28th April 2011 also happens to be exactly
one month since He was hospitalised. Time went so fast, and this one
month was also bit "harsh" on us but that is life, accept as it
comes. Many of us are still asking "why?", "when?" and some are also
asking was that "right time" for Swami? but with Swami we all know
He knows the best. He was very sure that from now on we can take
over the "task" of the divine.
Yesterday while the Maha Samadhi ceremony was going on, i got a
phone call from my friend who said that half moon was seen just
above Sai Kulwanth Hall area which mesmerised devotees especially
from Puttaparthi and it was shown live in the TV.. There were so
many people who made phone calls to neighbouring towns enquiring if
they saw any moon while the Maha Samadhi was on and the reply came
as no. As this "miracle" was shown live in many Telugu TV news
channels, there were so many people who were thrilled. Local
devotees were in tears after seeing this. One lady broke down and
said, "look how much our Swami loves us. Even though He is not here
Physically, He still wants to give darshan and He is blessing us all
and re assuring that He is very much with us". There were also a
group of Garuda birds that were flying above Sai Kulwanth hall.
After the Maha samadhi ceremony, when I came out from Sai Kulwanth
hall and looked up, I did see the half moon on west side. It even
thrilled me..

After 24 hours of Maha Samadhi, all the police have left Parthi. The
barricades have been removed, public and traffic restrictions have
been relaxed. There were very few devotees left in Parthi and many
were having darshan of Maha Samadhi, which now is a heap of
beautifully decorated flowers (see photo above). As the crowd is not
that much, they are letting devotees go closer upto the railings for
Samadhi darshan. This evening, i took my son Sai Vignesh and as
usual, I tried to explain to him that our beloved Lord is sleeping
peacefully inside, my son was still prostrating to the two huge
photographs of Swami placed on either side of the dais.
People of Parthi are dumb struck. There is absolute silence and the
tempo is bit low. It will take time for the "dust" to settle and
hopefully we will get used to the fact that Swami has only left us
"physically". Now every BODY is a "living temple" of our Lord. All
these days, we just ignored this fact, as Swami was very much in
Parthi. It is our duty to keep this "living temple", peaceful, neat
and spiritually powerful for our Lord to live in.
It is not clear as what kind of rituals, pujas would be performed on
the 9th and 12th day of the divine departure, but I will keep you
posted and probably, every one of us can follow the same ritual in
your respective places.
Swami gave enough signs about His departure. As you can see more
photos of the 20 March 2011 darshan - photos link :
His Masterplan - the indications
-
, where Swami joined His hands first on gents side and then on
ladies side as if doing Namaskar, not many realised the
"seriousness" in this gesture. Lord's every action is completely
uncomprehendable for our monkey minds. What ever it is, He atleast
thought, we are worthy of being His chosen instruments. Lets
"finish" the work which He has assigned to us. With the present
circumstances we might think that we were no ready for the take over
but He knew we all are ready to finish this game of life...Here we
go......

Our Beloved Lord laid to Rest in Sai Kulwanth Hall, 27 April
2011
27TH APRIL 2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
The "most sad day" of life of Sai Family did arrive. This morning,
around 5:30 am, As soon as I entered the mandir, I saw Swami's
divine body was brought into the centre from Bhajan Mandir. The
morning was very silent, serene, but was definitely not the morning
that we were looking forward to and I also thought this "morning"
was not expected that soon.
The Maha Samadhi was dug right in the middle of the dais, where
Swami used to sit and give darshans in Sai Kulwanth hall. The grave
would be about 7 feet wide and 12 feet length (approximate). The
walls of the Maha Samadhi were covered with marble stone on all the
four sides. Looking at the grave was not a good feeling at all. It
was difficult to digest the fact that, from same place, Swami
"taught" us the Highest knowledge, taught us human values and many
HIStoric discourses were delivered from the same platform as Prof.
Anil Kumar translated in English. Even this day of Maha Samadhi He
was still "teaching", that any one who came with human form have to
leave the form one day or other and even an Avatar has to abide to
this rule but what remains permanently is ones own noble deeds and
good name.
The day started with alap from Pandit Jasraj, Veda chanting and then
students started singing bhajans. Before leaving for Sai Kulwanth
Hall, I said to my self, no crying today. Swami is not a person, who
will abandon us, He is God and He has to be felt from with in.
It was all fine untill the students started singing, O Maa, O Maa O
Maa Sai Maa. Tears were about to come but stopped them successfully
not until few minutes as the next bhajan that followed was Too Pyar
ka sagar Hain, Humko tumse Pyar Kitna... This song, especially the
lines We Love You Dear Sai We Love You, usually brings tears even if
Swami is seated on the dais and today, as His body lies "life less'
definitely made things worse and cried from the bottom of my heart.
For some time, i felt, my whole body was aching thinking of the
separation.
From the bottom of my heart I was thanking Swami for His kindness to
allow me to be born in Parthi, that Swami who was just a "walkable"
distance from now on would not be found (on a physical level). My
mum tells me that she took me for darshan when I was just few days
old. The journey with a span of 30 years had been fantastic. All the
beautiful darshans, interactions, pada namaskars etc were just His
grace. All the memories would be cherished for the rest of my life
and I never dreamt even in my wildest dreams that the Swami would
call it a day that soon. But this "divine script" was written long
ago and He can only "adjust" some things here and there but cannont
"cancel" the main events of His glory.
Swami's message of Unity in diversity, prompted to have multi faith
prayers starting from Judaism, hymns from holy quran, from holy
bible, hymns by Buddhist monks and also Sikh guru requested every
one to stand up when he chanted holy hymns from Gurugranth before
His body was brought to the Maha Samadhi area.. The chantings
started at 8.10 am for about 30 minutes..
For records, the last bhajan, which was sung in the immediate
Physical presence of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar was "Prema Eswar Hain
Eswar Prema Hain".
As Swami (on a physical level) belonged the holy land of Bharath,
four guards covered Swami with Indian National Flag and He received
guard of honour with three round of gun salutes from the Indian
police.
After this ceremony, some students and family slowly lifted Swami
along with the glass freezer coffin, on to the dais. As this was
done, there was a huge cry from the ladies side and every body broke
down. All were screaming "Swami please don't go, be with us" but it
was too late by then.
Brother Ratnakar, Swami's nephew, was blessed to perform final rites
in the position of Son to our beloved Lord and also on behalf of the
entire Sai family. As the priests chanted mantras, brother Ratnakar
was guided to perform the final rites. "Godana", a ritual of gifting
a cow was also performed.
Since Swami has attained sidhis and being an Avatar, He was buried
in a different way by putting 9 food grains, 9 precious stones as a
symbolic representation of 9 planets, waters from 9 sacred rivers
have been brought in and vedic hymns from the four texts were
recited.
As brother Ratnakar was doing this ritual, he couldn't stop his
tears. Every minute was emotional to him and why not, when people
who were watching live in Sai Kulwanth hall, and the millions who
were watching live telecast in various TV channels broke into tears
he being born in the same clan, spending so many memorable moments
with Swami, will definitely feel the vacuum in his life..
Later, a new cloth was placed on Swami's divine body and that gave a
signal that the final moments of having darshan of Lord of Kali
Age's physical form, was fast approaching. As it is a tradition,
women are not supposed to see the ritual after this, the priest
apologising every one, asked for the curtains to come down as every
one of us broke down one more time. We couldn't believe that we
would no longer see Swami in His physical form. Sai Kulwanth Hall
which made every one of us dip in the ocean of bliss made us
completely sorrowful this time and it won't be the same happy
feeling the next time we will visit Sai Kulwanth Hall.
Between 9.45 to 10 am Indian Time, Swami's body was laid to rest in
Maha Samadhi with His head facing South. Apparently, they put sandal
wood powder, mud from holy shrines in India and also Vibhuthi was
smeared on Swami's body. While this ceremony was on, Sai Gayatri was
chanted thus ending the glory of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar, who came all
the way to the earth, to teach us the highest knowledge, to teach us
how to love all and serve all, to remind us how fortunate we are to
come in human form, He taught us many beautiful ways of leading a
fruitful life, the best TRIBUTE to Sathya Sai Avatar would be
practice the same in our day today lives.
Puttaparthi, where the living and loving God used to move amidst His
chosen devotees is now another Shirdi. Even though, the "feeling"
won't be the same, but I am sure there will be millions of His
devotees who would be visiting this holy Samadhi Shrine year after
year. All our answers from now on, would be answered by Swami from
the samadhi.
Not sure, what kind of programmes would be practiced in Sai Kulwanth
Hall, but I think the "daily Prasanthi routine" of suprabatam, veda
chantings, two bhajan sessions will go on.
After the "Maha Samadhi", one would be wondering what will happen to
all the beautiful festivals that were celebrated in His immediate
presence. Sankranthi, Shivarathri, Gurupoornima, Dasara, Birthday
and Christmas will lose its glory. Christmas used to be a very busy
affair in Parthi. Thousands of overseas devotees used to throng to
this little hamlet and stay for a month or so practicing Christmas
choir. Swami used to love all the songs sung by devotees and after
every song, sister Silvia used to bow down to Swami and wait for His
permission to go to the next song. all these beautiful scenes will
be a history now. Christmas 2010 in particular did leave a
remarkable experience for the kind of decoration South Africa put
up. It was only Swami's grace that South Africa got this opportunity
to decorate Christmas 2010, which unfortunately happened to be the
last Christmas our Lord would be celebrating. All those fortunate
devotees from SA would be happy on one side but also sad that they
cannot see that sweet smile of Swami any more. Being born here, I
had the great privilege to meet so many noble men who came for His
darshan. every one of us here are His chosen ones and equally
fortunate. For being bestowed with this "rare opportunity" to be
born in the same time as Avatar, to get to have His darshan. It is
our duty to carry the Sai Torch for future generations. No doubt we
will miss Swami, but Swami will never miss us. He is very much with
us. He is going to "work" with much more force and yes the GOLDEN
AGE will shine with its splendour from now on.
Sisters and Brothers, lets all stay united and work hand in hand to
"complete" the mission of Sri Sathya Sai Avatar. As told earlier,
Swami has left tons of work to be completed by us. It is a real
test, but with His helping hand and divine guidance, nothing is
difficult.
Please keep on doing all the good work, keep visiting Puttaparthi to
get the spiritual batteries recharged.
(attached here are some photos of Maha samadhi where you can see
brother Ratnakar doing the final rites...)

No successor, says top Trust member
Puttaparthi: Justice P N Bhagwati,
senior most member of the Sai Trust, said there was no question of a
successor to Sathya Sai Baba. He said, “There can’t be a successor.
No one can replace him.” Bhagwati also said there is no flight of
wealth from the Trust. He added, there was no tension or infighting
between trust members. “The Trust is united and organized. Whatever
work the trust has to do is being done and will continue to be done.
All media reports on the trust are, to say the least, not
inspiring.” Trust members said they were dedicated to society and
would continue Baba’s work. “Sai Baba has always been helping people
and the Trust under him has always worked to help the people. We’ll
continue that good work without.” About Satyajit, Bhagwati said,
“Satyajit is a great devotee and has always done the work of
Bhagawan.” TNN

Parthi Update - Swami's Maha Samadhi
View the Photos - Swami's Maha Samadhi
Bhagawan's Physical Body was laid to rest amid
vedic chants at the Sai Kulwant hall and with full state honours
today morning.
Bhagawan's Nephew Shri.Ratnakar performed the last rites .
Bhagawan's Maha Samadhi is at the spot where Swami delivered the
most Memorable and Wonderful Discourses and where Swami's Darshan
gave so much of joy and happiness to so many.
Once the last rites were performed by the many Vedic pundits, the
red curtains were drawn at around 9:45 AM and the process started
for laying Swami's Physical body in a pit, After about 40 Minutes,
The curtains were removed for the people to have a glimpse of the
Samadhi where Swami's Physical body was laid to rest.
Earlier, a little before 9 AM, the glass casket in which Bhagawan's
Physical Body was kept for Final Darshan was removed and was wrapped
in national flag for a brief while. Men of the Andhra Pradesh Armed
Police sounded the last post and fired 21 shots in the air as a mark
of respect. Then the Tricolour was removed and verses from Hindu,
Christian, Islamic, Sikh, Judaism and Buddhist scriptures were read
out by leaders from these sects. Later, The Divine Mangala Aarti'
was performed.
Leaders from across the political spectrum were among the many
thousands who attended the ceremony. The Darshan for devotees of
Bhagawan's Samadhi will start at 12 noon today.
The political leaders who attended Swami's Maha Samadhi included
Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka Chief ministers N Kiran Kumar Reddy and
BS Yeddyurappa, Governors ESL Narasimhan and Shivraj V Patil, BJP
leaders LK Advani, M Venkiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, former
Andhra chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and former Maharashtra
chief minister Ashok Chavan.
The Moon was most clearly visible even during the day in Puttaparthi,
It was never ever so visible as during Swami's Maha Samadhi. Swami's
Divine Miracle and a Divine Sign that He is always and forever be
with each and everyone of us.
Bhagawan once said that " I will always be there when My Message is
spread and where Sevas for the Poor are done".
OUR LIFE IS HIS MESSAGE
Sai Ram

Message from Dr Michael Goldstein
Date: Monday, April 25, 2011, 5:01 PM
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Sai Ram!
Our Beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, our Dearest Swami, elected
to leave His Physical Form this morning, at 7:40AM, April 24, 2011
due to cardio-respiratory failure according to the report of the
attending physicians. We grieve the loss of our Beloved Swami, the
embodiment of Divine Love, who has left us on this Easter Sunday,
this day of Divine Resurrection. We lament the greatest loss that we
will ever sustain.
No words that are written or spoken by anyone can completely assuage
our grief or allay our apprehensions about the future. However, we
can waste the remainder of our lives grieving for the loss of His
Physical Presence which accomplishes nothing. Or, we can accomplish
everything, the fulfillment of our spiritual destiny that He
ordained, by devoting our lives to Him and to His Divine Message of
selfless love and service. Before, He lived in our spiritual hearts
and also in the Presence and Identity that he assumed in the world
as our Beloved Swami. Now He lives only in our spiritual hearts, as
the Lord of Lords, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Now, we must turn
inward to experience His Divine Presence and Love.
Our mischievous and wayward minds wreak havoc in these solemn
moments. The mind asks to no avail. It perplexes and perturbs us.
Our heart answers. It consoles and enlightens us.
Similar questions are being asked in many places.
Why did He leave us now? We expected 10 more years.
Actually, according to the lunar calendar which has been used by
Hindus and others, Swami lived to 95 years, not 85 years. Perhaps he
left us sooner than we expected. However, Our Beloved Bhagavan Sri
Sathya Sai Baba is not confined by the demise of the Physical
Presence and Identity that he assumed, nor is He constrained by
time. He will be with us forever.
What will we do now if we are left to our own devices without the
comfort of knowing that He is always there? Has he not been our
source of selfless love and wisdom, our recourse in all of the
travails of life?
He has always been there and always will be there! Just as our
mothers and fathers were our protectors when we were children, Swami
has been the Divine protector for all of us, young and old. “Being
there” is being accessible to us always, whenever or wherever there
is a need. He resides in our spiritual hearts. He is “always there”
for each and everyone of us whenever and wherever we need Him.
Just prior to my last conversation with Swami, I was very
preoccupied. Swami suddenly called me to come close to Him. He
reached out, took my hand, and caressed my hand gently. Then He
smiled lovingly and said ever so softly, “there is fear in your
heart”. I felt deeply soothed by His Divine Love, the Love of Divine
Mother and Father. I kissed His hand and His feet repeatedly. I felt
the exuberant joy of a child. For an instant, I recaptured youth and
innocence. His sweet words and gentle caress dissolved whatever fear
that I must have been harboring and brought exhilaration and a
feeling of rejuvenation instead. He will always be there for us. He
is our Divine Mother and Father. This has not changed. It will
always be so. This is Divine Truth impervious to time and unaltered
by the demise of His Body.
What future awaits us as His devotees, each of us individually, and
all of us together, as a spiritual organization? How can there be a
Sri Sathya Sai Organization? How can we come together if Swami is no
longer living among us to inspire us and correct us when we go
astray?
“Why fear when I am here?” declared our Beloved Swami. He has always
been and will continue to be present as the Divine Indweller who
resides in our spiritual hearts. Being “here” refers to His
Spiritual Presence, not His Physical Presence. He will always be
“here”. This has not changed. “Here” is everywhere and forever.
“Here” is accessible to each and everyone of us in our own hearts.
To be with Him “Here” and now, we must choose faith, not fear.
Swami has come to demonstrate how we should live these human lives.
He has come for the awakening of conscience and selfless love in the
minds and hearts of all people. To Love all, serve all. To Help
ever, hurt never. The Sri Sathya Sai Organizations are based on
these spiritual principles that He has provided. We will certainly
persevere!
When I presented the decisions of the World Conference for His
Divine Approval and Guidance, which I sent to all of you in a recent
letter, Swami gave His Approval to all that I submitted. All that I
submitted was derived from the reports on your World Conference
study circle comments and conclusions. Therefore His Approval of the
recommendations was His Approval of your earnest deliberations and
sincere aspirations to improve the Sri Sathya Sai Organization. We
will certainly abide by these decisions so readily approved by our
dearest Swami. Already a committee to draft universal guidelines for
all countries has been appointed and begun their work, a tentative
program for the World Youth Conference in July has been submitted,
and all of the other decisions are under deliberation.
Now it is our sacred duty to wholeheartedly support and contribute
our love, good faith, and best efforts to ensure that the
International Sri Sathya Sai Organization continues to be a beacon
of selfless love and service in the world. It is our contribution to
the spiritual legacy of our Beloved Bhagavan Baba, our dearest
Swami, for all of mankind.
We must listen to our hearts with spiritual self confidence. My
heart tells me that His Lessons for mankind will not be forgotten or
forsaken. My heart tells me that our spiritual lives, our noble
actions, and our selfless love will become worthy testaments to His
Divine Presence among us.
Lord of Lords, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Divine Mother and
Father, Dearest Swami, may we always love You unwaveringly, always
follow You without faltering, and always find You in our heart of
hearts.
Lovingly in the Service of Sai,
Michael Goldstein
Special Message from Radio Sai Team - April
26, 2011
Dear Reader,
Sairam.
Devotees with deep love for Swami in their hearts are coming to
Prasanthi Nilayam in hundreds and thousands to treasure in their
hearts forever one glimpse of their beloved Swami. The Prime
Minister of India paid his homage this evening. The public darshan
in Sai Kulwant Hall will go on till late evening today (April 26,
2011).
Like every one of you we too were caught completely unawares on
April 24, and immediately we had to organize huge screens for
devotees’ viewing in Sai Kulwant Hall, at select points inside the
Ashram, as well as at various vantage locations in the Puttaparthi
town. This had to be done with no delay not only because of
devotees' convenience but also for security and other reasons.
We also started offering you the Live Audio Stream of the bhajans
and devotional offerings in Sai Kulwant Hall on Radio Sai since the
morning of April 25.
For Live Video of the happenings in Sai Kulwant Hall we made quick
arrangements for a Live Video Feed which was carried by a number of
TV Channels through their broadcasting vans stationed in Prasanthi
Nilayam. This way we were able to serve the yearning devotees at the
regional and national level. Because of the pressure of all these
immediate tasks on our extremely limited manpower (hardly half a
dozen staff) and other resources we could not however organize a
Live Video Stream on our website: radiosai.org.
We regret for this inconvenience to overseas devotees. However, we
hope many people in several countries will watch the special video
"The Miracle of Pure Love" which will aired by Astha International
TV Channel. Please
go here for the details of the timings.
Tomorrow (April 27, 2011) is the most sacred day when the Sai
Kulwant Hall will transform into the Maha Samadhi Mandir of our
dearest Bhagawan. We are going to video record every second of this
momentous occasion and will offer you special highlights very
shortly. This way people in all time zones will be able to see a
compact footage of this event at their convenience.
People in India, however, can watch the Live Video of tomorrow’s
proceedings on the many TV channels which are already carrying the
Divine darshan in Sai Kulwant Hall for the past two days.
Additionally, we are also fully occupied organizing huge screens in
the Hill View Stadium to enable the ever increasing number of
devotees thronging Prasanthi Nilayam witness tomorrow’s proceedings
with much ease.
We hope you understand the immense constraints
and demands on our time and resources because of which we are not
able to offer you a Live Video Stream of tomorrow's proceedings on
our website.
Thank You.
“I am in You, With You, Above You, Beside You, Around You….” Any
number of times Bhagawan has reminded us about this ultimate truth.
Our Sai, as we all know, is very much in our hearts, guiding us,
guarding us, and loving us as ever. Let us now resolve to make our
lives His message.
Loving regards,
Radio Sai team.
People speak about My powers and My miracles,
but My Love is My greatest miracle. - Baba
26th April 2011 Darshan Update (Probably my
last Darshan Update on Sri Sathya Sai Avatar)

26th April 2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family
As the deadline for the closure of Swami's last
darshan was fast approaching, thousands thronged to Parthi for a
glimpse of our beloved Lord's Holy body.

Today many VVIPs visited Parthi among them were
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, Governor Narasimhan,
AP, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Former Prime minister Deve
Gowda, Gujarath Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Swami Nityananda,
actress Jamuna and others had Swami's darshan.

As the time for the Maha Samadhi (burial) is
approaching, many devotees all over the world are still anticipating
a miracle from Swami. Seated in darshan hall, I was watching Swami's
holy feet (even though not visible) if there would be any movement.
From 9am to till 5 pm, there were so many students who were taking
turns to sit closer to Swami. In the morning brother Veda Narayana
was seated to His right by Swami's head and watching the beautiful
Lord, with eyes filled with tears. For a person like him who has
spent such a great amount of time by Swami, it is a great loss.
Every person, coming into the Sai Kulwanth hall to have last darshan
were in tears. They couldn't bear to see Swami in that state.

Brother Sathyjit, who was blessed to spent most
of Swami's last years with Swami, was standing by the pillar on the
dais, with a very sad face. One cannot explain how much he would be
going through after spending so much time with Swami and suddenly to
lose Him is some thing which is un-repairable. Probably all the
sweet memories would be reeling in his mind and make him more
emotional.

Mr.Srinivasan was also in the same state of mood.
For all those noble souls, blessed to work closely with Swami it is
definitely a great loss. They would still be feeling that it is just
a "bad dream"
Brother Ratnakar, who is still not able to walk
without support after that accident in december, was seated to
Swami's left, watching Swami keenly. Brother Ratnakar, another
blessed soul, to be born as Swami's brother's son, also had spend
some quality time with Swami. For him, Swami is own uncle which
makes things more tougher during these testing times. Two of his
younger sons, were also seen seated next to Swami's divine body.
Around 4.30 pm, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
Mrs.Sonia Gandhi, Governor Narasimhan, AP, Chief Minister Kiran
Kumar Reddy came to Sai Kulwanth hall, entering through the Bhajan
mandir behind the dais. As soon as they came into the verandah, Smt.
Meenakshamma, wife of Late Sri. Janaki Ramayya (Swami's younger
brother) was introduced to Sonia Gandhi by All India Sai President,
Sri. Srinivasan. They directly came to the place where Swami's
divine body was kept and as bhajans were sung, both of them offered
floral tributes to Swami. I am not sure if Sonia Gandhi ever met
Swami even though, I know that Smt. Indira Gandhi did follow Swami
in those days.

After offering floral tributes, they sat down on
the floor, to Swami's right by His head while the bhajan Brahmanda
nayaka Baba was sung. Right through, Smt.Sonia Gandhi was watching
Swami with joined hands so also was Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
After two bhajans, both of them rose from their seats and after
bowing down to Swami one more time, they left the hall, after
meeting brother Ratnakar. while both of them were seated, I was
praying to Swami to bless them so that they give good governance to
this holy India. Every time, any political leader from any country
came, I used to say the same prayer. This is for the first time,
that such high profile leaders are coming to have His darshan under
such circumstances.
Swami, would have definitely blessed them for
their trouble to come all the way to Parthi to offer their
obeisance.
Meanwhile, the Maha Samadhi (grave) was dug last
night and all arrangements are being made for the Maha Samadhi of
Swami on the dais right in the middle.According to the news, the
officials had discussions with learned pandits (scholars) headed by
Sri.Kondavadhani from Rajahmundry about the final rituals. In the
discussions, they discussed the Shirdi baba Samadhi, who attained
Samadhi in sitting position but looks like Swami's Maha Samadhi will
be as it is now. He will be buried between 9 to 9.20 am, with His
head towards the south and holy feet towards the North. Holy water
from all the major holy rivers in India are being brought for the
Maha Samadhi Ceremony which will be used for Puja.
I am also attaching the RARE photo of Swami doing
NAMASKAR, which I feel was an "indication" of Him taking leave from
us. According to my friend Prema Das who was there in darshan that
day, said that it happened on the 20th of March 2011.also attached
are few photos of today's DARSHAN.. As mentioned earlier there might
be live telecast of the Maha Samadhi ceremony, please do check the
links that I sent in my previous emails.
Meanwhile please click the following link of the
Prime minister's visit to Parthi..

Sisters and brothers, with a heavy I want to tell
you with a little bit of HOPE some where in my heart that today will
be the last "DARSHAN" (unfortunately I won't be typing this word any
more from now), for every one in Sai Kulwanth Hall. Swami who left
us on the 24th will not even be seen Physically from tomorrow the
27th April.
How well can we bear this "pain"? Only time will
answer this question.
O Swami keep on showering Your choicest blessings
on all of us, Let you glory be sung with much more intensity, let
all the Sai Activities continue with much more success, we all know
You are very much with us, Your Avataric Mission will flourish for
ever, Your helping Hand is enough for us to cross this ocean of
life, to end this cycle of life and death, to Master this mind and
be a MASTER MIND..
We Love You Dear Lord... Miss You... Miss You..
Miss You..

Parthi Update - Swami's Final Darshan timings

Tuesday, 26 April, 2011
With Lakhs and Lakhs of Devotees surging into Prasanthi Nilayam for
a Final Darshan of Swami, The Darshan timings have been extended
till Midnight tonight. Earlier Darshan for Devotees was to end at
6pm so that preparations for Bhagawan's Samadhi could take place.
But with the unprecedented surge in Devotees waiting for a final
Glimpse of our Lord, the Darshan timings have been extended.
Today morning three special trains from Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam
and Vijayawada were filled to the brim with Devotees. Darshan lines
extended for almost 4 kms
Today Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi
and External Affairs Minister SM Krishna are coming to offer their

9.30 AM, where Swami's Divine Darshans were a source of great joy
and happiness to many. News is that there would be a big Statue of
Swami over the Samadhi. Details would be known later. Huge LCD
Screens have been set up so that Devotees can view Bhagawan's Maha
Samadhi from outside.

Swami lives forever in our hearts
From an email that i received ,
Sathya Sai Baba indeed lived with us in a physical body for 96 years
(approx) and in his athmic body forever with us,as per sathya sai
speaks volumes of books and videoclippings available...sai ram sai
ram sai ram Sai ram
Hindu moon monthly calendar has 27.3 (approx) days as stars starting
from Aswini upto Revathi.
Name Value (days) Definition
sidereal month 27.32166155 with respect to the distant stars
(13.36874634 passes per solar orbit) .
synodic month 29.53058886 with respect to the Sun (phases of the
Moon, 12.36874634 passes per solar orbit).
tropical month 27.321582 with respect to the vernal point (precesses
in ~26,000 years)
anomalistic month 27.554550 with respect to the perigee (recesses in
3232.6054 days = 8.8504 years)
draconic (nodical) month 27.212220815 with respect to the ascending
node (precesses in 6793.4765 days = 18.5996 years)
So (85 x 365.25) / (27.3 x 12) = 96.46.. (approx) years and days
This is what Swamy would have said long long long ago.
If you calculate the number of days He was on this earth and the
number of times the moon takes to rotate the earth
( which is a month- actually 27.3 days) it comes up to 95- 96 years
(approx)!
And if you calculate the day you are born as the first year ( per
the Hindu calendar) He was actually 96!
Bhagawan did exactly as He said He would!

11PM, 25TH APRIL 2011, MORE NUMBER OF
DEVOTEES HAVE SWAMI'S DIVINE BODY DARSHAN
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
As Swami's divine body lies in Sai Kulwanth Hall,
its 11 pm here now in Parthi and still people are waiting in line
patiently for the last darshan. The lines for gents is gone beyond
Hanuman temple and the ladies line is also more or less the same.
Inspite of this, darshan is over in 30 minutes which itself says how
nice are the arrangements.
As Swami lies there in the middle of the hall,
every one feels He is just sleeping and He will be coming back. no
body is willing to believe that our Swami is no more (read as
physically). But that is life. Full of uncertainities. With Swami,
He has told us " Love My uncertainity". Even though this is also His
"uncertainity", no one seems to love it. Even now, I saw people
crying loudly for Swami after having His darshan and there was one
woman who was telling one police man by Ganesh gate that "My Swami
is just sleeping. Please don't think that He has left us" the police
man tried his best to console that poor lady but in vain. These
scenes were commonly seen since that painful announcement.
Today, Sachin Tendulkar came to Parthi and he was
in tears watching Swami. Sachin Tendulakar was a bleesed devotee who
first came to Swami in the year 1995 (if iam correct) was introduced
to Swami by another legendary cricketer of yester years, Sunil
Gavaskar. Sachin Tendulkar, a Shirdi Baba devotee, was fascinated by
Swami and also His yeomen service that He was doing for the mankind.
Even though, his personal conversations with Swami are not spoken in
public (neither he speaks in public) but there was one occassion
when he came to Swami in the year 1999, after the historic test
series against Pakistan.
Sachin Tendulkar who uses a heavy bat, developed
back pain during this series with Pakistan. He immediately came to
Swami and our Lord, in His usual style asked, How are you? Swami,
the divine Master likes to play with words and also gives a very
strong message with simple words. the answer from Sachin was "Body
pains Swami". Sachin who was expecting a reply or remedy for the
problem, got a stange answer from Swami. Swami replied "yes yes Body
Pains". Probably Sachin didn't understand Swami's words and Swami
explained, When you say Body Pains, it means when you come with a
BODY, you are bound to have pain. This was a very remarkable
statement by Swami which speaks about giving up of body attachment,
which He was practicing till His last breath.
Another cricketers who came to Parthi were Lakshman and Srisanth.
Hyderabad born Lakshman is also a devotee for many years now and
couple of years ago, Swami named his little son as Sarvajit, which
also happened to be the name of the Telugu New Year.
Ministers, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Praful Patel and
many others had Swami's darshan. Many thousands, men and women had
darshan today. Local devotees were very busy in suppling water,
biscuit packets, food to all the devotees lining up for darshan.
They were not "leaving" any one without taking food. Many devotees
were touched with this kind gesture and if Swami were to be alive
(in the body) He would have mentioned this kind gesture by His
Villagers. Swami used to be very happy when some one from village
excels or shows this kind of kindness to their fellow human beings.
Mean while the government announced that Swami's
burial will take place on Wednesday 27th April around 9 am to 9.30
AM which will be attended by Sri.L.K.Advani, BJP leader, and many
chief ministers are expected to attend the burial ceremony which
will be attended by Swami's family members and selected devotees.
Tomorrow Tuesday the 26th April, Swami's body
will be kept till 6pm for darshan after which the darshan will stop,
to make way for final arrangements for the burial.

SOME VIDEOS OF SWAMI'S DIVINE BODY IN SAI
KULWANT HALL
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
As it is 1 pm in Puttaparthi, thousands are
coming to Parthi for Swami's final darshan. Today's temperature is
around 40 degrees yet devotees are daring the heat to see our
beloved Lord as every one knows this will be NOW OR NEVER darshan.
Meanwhile local devotees, have expressed their gratitude to Swami
for all His kindness for all these years, by arranging free food for
the waiting and visiting devotees, mineral water is being supplied
for every 10 feet.
many small time shop keepers are giving away photos of Swami, some
are giving Swami's calendars to the villagers.
There are so many local devotees who are
voluntarily guiding the devotees as how to line up for darshan.
there are also devotees who are putting up over head curtains so
that devotees don't feel the heat.
All these arrangements are being made completely
free of cost which speaks how much they love Swami.
For the first time, we have the misfortune to see
Swami sleeping and this time He will be sleeping for ever.
Former cinema heroine, Smt.Anjali Devi, the
fortunate actress who acted as Mother Eswaramma in Shirdi Sai Parthi
Sai tele serial, fainted after seeing Swami's Divine Body in Sai
Kulwanth Hall.
Cricket Maestro, Sachin Tendulkar had Swami's
final darshan along with his wife Anjali for 30 minutes.
Many villagers are coming to Parthi to have final
darshan. Many hotels are being closed so there were devotees who
even came with bags to Sai Kulwanth hall. The security and sevadals
have relaxed the rules and even cell phones are allowed in Sai
Kulwanth hall in switch off mode.
Keep watching the Indian TV channels as many of them are carrying
live footage from Parthi. I am not sure if the samadhi last rites
also would be live or not, but keep watching.. Unconfirmed reports
say that Prime Minister, Mr. Manmohan Singh will be visiting Parthi
tomorrow. Mean while it was announced by the government that darshan
will be allowed till 6pm 26th April 2011.
Later, arrangements will be made for Swami's final rites. Even till
that second, people will be hoping for a Miracle. In this span of 86
years Swami has performed millions of miracles, if Swami performs on
more miracle then that will be a HIS toric one..

24 HOURS SINCE SWAMI'S BODY'S DIVINE
DEPARTURE
Monday, 25 April, 2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
It has been 24 hours now. Thousands are thronging
to Puttaparthi. Since 6.30 pm last evening, atleast one hundred
thousand devotees had the chance to have the final darshan. Even
though it was bit confusing initially, later on, the police made
excellent arrangements for devotees to go in and last darshan went
on the whole night.
Swami is placed in the middle of Sai Kulwanth hall in a glass box.
What was disturbing though was some sarvadharma stickers here and
there on the box. The stickers were right at places where you really
want to have a close look. One by the holy feet and two on either
side of Swami's head (side wise). Gents and ladies are allowed to
enter the hall from the Rama Gate. Gents were able to see Swami's
right side and ladies were able to see Swami's left side.
Swami's body has been covered with orange (the colour of His robe)
cloth and the holy feet is not visible. Only the face from His chin
is shown for devotees. There are atleast 6 lines of students, VIPs,
sevadals on either side of Swami and we are able to see Swami from
about 15 feet distance. VVIPs are taken upclose for darshan.
To see Swami in that situation is definitely painful, but atleast we
were able see Him one last time. The darshan is not too long. We are
able to have darshan in maximum 20 minutes as every thing is
systematic. Last night, I took my 21 months old son along with me.
He had no clue what was happening. I tried to whisper in his ears,
saying Swami has left His mortal body, but in vain. There are so
many photos of Swami in Sai Kulwanth hall and He joined his hands
and started praying to them ignoring Swami's physical body. I
thought, I lucky he is, atleast he won't be feeling sad like us,
Swami used to tell us, be like a child, smiling at every one without
any reservations, be like a child unaffected by any wordly problems.
More and more devotees are expected to Parthi and many will be
coming from overseas as well. many devotees especially from overseas
have decided not to come as they won't be comfortable seeing Swami
in that state rather feel Swami within.
Sisters and brothers, as every one of us are STILL hoping for a
miracle, lets not forget to implement our beloved Lord's valuable
teachings with immediate effect. Swami's sudden departure seems like
a death of our own father, who worked incessantly and did every act
Dharmically. Being the "son" of such a noble father, it is our duty
to walk in the steps of our "father" so that the society doesn't
laugh at our "father" rather be a "proud son of our belated father"
who, undoubtedly will be with us for ever, no matter what happens..
More VVIPs are coming to Puttaparthi today. among
them would be cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev,
Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and many others.
Unable to bear Swami's sad news, 4 people in Andhra Pradesh state
died yesterday with heart attack. The first one was 45 year old
Narayanamma, who lives in Parthi. She died at 10am.
More updates to follow...

Last Darshan Started at 6.30 PM 24th April
2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
It is still unbelievable. Thousands are thronging to Puttaparthi to
see our Lord's for one last time. The Indian railways is running
special trains to Prasanthi.
After a special darshan and final rituals by the family in Swami's
residence, Vedam boys headed by brother Veda Narayana entered the
Sai Kulwanth Hall, for one final time. We have seen this Vedam
procession as our beloved Lord entered with His characterstic divine
MAJESTY. As the vedam boys entered, bhajan boys followed and every
one were waiting with wide open eyes, and with a heavy heart to
watch our beloved Lord, who would be coming for the first and last
time in His body but this time we won't be able to see His beautiful
smile, His loving enquiries about our well being, His Abhaya hasta.....
It is completely unbelievable to know that He is not amidst us (read
as PHYSICAL form). Swami is now placed in a glass box (just below
the dais, where the vedam boys used to sit) with His head towards
the stage. There are thousands out side the ashram waiting patiently
to get in. Both ladies and gents are let in turns from the Gopuram
gate and after darshan one would come out from Ganesh gate. There is
no one who is smiling. there is absolute silence in every one's
face. No one can believe that they will not be able to see Swami
here after
Swami's body will be available for final darshan untill Tuesday
night and the final rites for the samadhi would be performed on
Wednesday. Apparently, holy water from river Saraswathi will be used
for the final rites (not confirmed yet).
Will keep you posted...

Swami to be Buried in Sai Kulwanth Hall on
Wednesday 27th April 2011
Sunday, 24 April, 2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
Swami, after His 28 days of hospitalisation, He
has left us all on a "physical level". Probably it was all part of
the DIVINE PLAN to stay that long so that devotees would not be
shocked to listen the sad news all of a sudden. Swami "pretended" to
be in the body all these 28 days but it is only for us to minimise
the sorrow. Such a great Avatar, even at the last days of His life,
He preferred to make us happy. Since the day of His hospitalisation,
there were millions all over the world who were praying for His
speedy recovery. As Swami had told that He would be in the body till
the age of 96, every one were hoping for a miracle. In Swami's
DIVINE DICTIONARY it probably meant 86 and not 96.
As it is a great shock to every one, People in
the streets of Parthi are banging their chest in grief. There are so
many in the streets with tears in eyes, some are seated before the
closed shops some on the pavements and every where.. Swami who had
been part of our lives, especially to residents of Puttaparthi for
whom every thing, every moment is SAI. It is a matter of great shock
to the Sai Family. The great Avatar of Kali Age, has left us
physically. But He has left us tons of " responsibilities". Sisters
and Brothers, yes this is very sad news. The heart's of every
devotee is hurt immensely. but a "true devotee" can never say that
Swami is no more. If Swami was to be confined to His body, how could
He be seen all over the world.
Swami was the only "person" in the world who
wanted every thing to be give for "free". In the times when people
don't even smile for "free", Swami has given world class medical
services completely free to every one. There came one suggestion
from some one requesting Swami to charge "little bit" to the rich
who can afford to pay, and Swami our kind Lord said, there is no
difference between "poor man's heart" and "rich man's heart' who
could ever tell this.
Some years ago, in Kodai kanal, some officials
were briefing Him about the arrangements for Eswaramma day and when
one officer said, "Swami tomorrow we will have poor feeding", Swami
corrected him saying, Sai's feeding can never be "poor feeding" you
rather say "feeding the poor". Such is the kindness of Swami.
Swami who has given every thing to the devotees,
has also given nutritious food to all at affordable price.
Apparently couple of years ago, some one from the South Indian
Canteen went to Swami and said, Swami our canteen has incurred great
loss. So we have decided to raise the price from Rs.6 to Rs.10 for a
full meal. Swami looking at him bit seriously said, if you irritate
me like this, I am going to give the food for free. when it is
Swami's canteen, why are you worried about the loss. It is my
"business". Can any one do such Divine Business? No business man can
make such a statement.
SWAMI'S SAMADHI ARRANGEMENTS:
Sai Kulwanth Hall, the venue for all the "historic" events in Parthi,
will also be His Samadhi temple (tomb) in future.. Swami's divine
body will be brought to the ashram around 4pm from the Super
Speciality Hospital..there are already arrangements being made in
the Sai Kulwanth hall. Swami's Samadhi would be on the dais from
where He used to watch us all while we sing His glory. At present
there are white curtains around the stage and the recently erected
elevated wooden dais, is now completely removed. Any moment, they
will start digging the dais. Meanwhile, the final darshan of Swami's
BODY would start from 6pm, 24th april and the darshan will continue
on Monday, Tuesday as well. in the morning of Wwednesday, the burial
will be performed.
Police are making all the arrangements for the
final darshan. I think Swami's body will be placed in the middle of
Sai Kulwanth hall and ladies and gents would be allowed separately
into the hall for the final darshan.
It is still unbelievable to know that we wont be able to see our
beloved Lord in Puttaparthi. We devotees should not forget the great
services rendered by the doctors in Super Speciality Hospital. Even
though they tried their best, perfectly following Swami's message of
KARMA YOGA, they (doctors) and We knew from the day one that it will
be Swami's FINAL DECISION that will matter. We should also have to
appreciate the patience and hardwork of Sri Sathya Central Trust and
its members who tried their best to give ultramodern medical
facilities to Swami in no time, all praises to Minister Geetha Reddy
for all that she has done being a bridge of love between government
and devotees.
All the ministers, governors are reaching Puttaparthi. The Chief
minister of Andhra Pradesh, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra,
Sri.Ashok Chavan have already come to Parthi. Sonia Gandhi, Prime
minister Manmohan Singh, L.K.Advani, Ms.Jayalalitha and many other
top leaders have expressed their deep condolences on Swami's Divine
Departure. The government of Andhra Pradesh has declared 4 days of
mourning.
It would be a very sad day for Sachin Tendulkar as his birthday
unfortunately coincided with Swami's Physical Exit. He is also
coming to Parthi tomorrow for the final darshan.
Since his hospitalisation, Swami was in headlines. while reporting
they also spoke all the good work Swami had did and also His
miracles. many people who were not in Sai Fold who were watching
this did get an urge to have darshan of this great Avatar and hoped
for one physical darshan but little did they knew that it was too
late..
Looks like the final darshan will also be shown live in various TV
channels as the arrangements are already being made.

Swami's Body Arrives in Ambulance to
Ashram,
3PM, 24th April 2011Sunday, 24 April, 2011 8:15
PM
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
For the first time in the history of Puttaparthi, that all the
devotees were crying from their hearts, when Swami came on to the
street. This STREET DARSHAN was completely out of the blue, never
anticipated, never expected and definitely painful.
Around 3PM, Swami's body was brought in ambulance. Every one were
crying, chanting Sai Ram, saying Jai Bolo Sathya Sai Baba ki Jai.
Every one were saying, Swami You cannot do this, Please come back,
we will not tolerate this.
Our beloved Sai would still be smilingly watching this DIVINE DRAMA,
For Swami who is beyond all, happiness and sorrow doesn't matter at
all. What more shock can there be than losing Swami. I thought this
day would come bit later but it is all Swami's wish.
the ambulance went directly to Sai Kulwanth Hall and then to Swami's
residence. According to the news, chance will be given to family
members and to the trust members first for the final darshan and the
general darshan will start at 6.;30 PM. devotees are already lining
up for darshan.
Sisters and Brothers, please don't cry as our Lord has not left us.
He is very much with us.. Lets make Him happy by practicing all that
He has taught us..

Satish Naik - 24.04.2011
24th April 2011, 7.38 AM Sri Sathya Sai
Baba, Our Beloved Lord has left the body
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family, With a heavy heart,
and in complete dismay, I want to share this most miserable news of
Kali Yuga about the sudden departure of Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba,
the Messiah of love who drenched every one of us with His unsullied
Love. He left His body at 7:38 am. 24 th April 2011.. I cannot
believe what I am typing and don't know what to type.., I cannot
believe what happened but the news is definitely shocking. Pulling
the curtains down for the 24 days, Little Sathya Narayana Raju of
yesteryears, Sri Sathya Sai Baba of today's, DIVINE DRAMA, our Swami
decided to leave us all, inspite of all the prayers, all the yagnas,
all the rituals by His beloved children all over the world.
I have no idea and I am completely baffled to
know that I would be typing this obituary to the DIVINE during this
time when Swami's mission and His message of Love was spreading all
over the world with such a good pace.
Swami, just like Shirdi Sai Baba did give enough
signals about His exit. While in hospital, Every one of us, devotees
and non devotees were hoping for a BIG MIRACLE which was denied by
Swami this time. But there was one signal which was made by Swami
(according to eye witness) probably on the 22nd or 23rd march, when
He joined both His hands (as if saying namaskar) from the dais. This
gesture is usually done when some one wants to take leave. During
the course of His 85th birthday celebrations, Swami was so kind
enough to invite the whole world's Sai family in Puttaparthi in the
form of Parthi Yatras, Parthi pilgrimage. Be it the Russians, be it
Newzelanders, USA, UK, South Africa you name the country and every
one had come to Parthi. Swami atleast with the excuse of Parthi
Pilgrimages, made so many devotees come to Parthi and those
fortunate ones, who could come to this holy land, would be in
complete dismay to hear that news. Every country that came, had some
programme or other, be it dance, drama or music programme. Inspite
of His ill health, Swami attended every country's programme because
only He knew, this would be the fortunate one's LAST CHANCE.
If we look at the final darshans of Swami, we
(devotees) could clearly see that He was in a critical state of
health. He was brought in a car and inspite of that, Swami was kind
to give two bonus darshans to the assembled devotees. He was
showering tons of love, He knew what was in the offering and not
sure how many got that signal. Even till the last minute, He
preferred to give joy and bliss to His devotees.
Swami made this declaration of Him living in the
body for 96 years many a times. It was His DIVINE SANKALPA that made
Him say that He would be in the body until 96, even though He knew
about all the body ailments He would have in the later parts of His
life. what ever it is, we had to bid farewell to the avatar of this
Kali Age probably, 10 years BEFORE TIME.
Swami, with this sudden act, has left so many
unanswered questions in common devotees' minds. In the recent past
He seemed to be very emotional, He seemed to be crying for every
little thing in public which millions have witnessed, He wanted to
say something to His beloved ones, probably at the end He decided to
be SAILENT and let the TIME give the answer.
The kind of media coverage during His
hospitalisation, the allegations made on some people, the way the
whole hospitalisation episode was handled did leave a sad patch in
the hearts of the devotees. Many devotees felt, for some one like
Swami, this kind of farewell is definitely "painful". He, the
Emperor of GODS, should not have left under such pitiable situation
where He seemed to battle for life but it was all a PHYSICAL
HAPPENING just as it happened to Jesus during His crucification.
Also the evil effects of Kali Age were also the reason for this
"sad" exit.
Radio Sai under the able guidance of Prof.GV did help a bit to calm
down the tension with some discourses of Swami where He spoke about
the media, about His body but ultimately that which was "destined"
happened and Swami chose to leave all of us to let us drown in the
ocean of sorrow. Watching all the videos by Radio Sai, we all did
feel that Swami will definitely come out of this Divine Drama and we
all thought, this is just a PASSING CLOUD, but little did we knew
that Swami had already decided take Maha Samadhi.
Many of us would ask, What would have went wrong?
Why this premature exit by Swami. No doubt every thing is His will
and Divine Sankalpa. The immediate duty of we devotees is to think
of all that He has done for the man kind. His Life was His message.
It is our duty now to carry on this LEGACY and reach out for the
poor and down trodden. Share that same unsullied and pure love that
Swami has shared with fellow human beings. He has made it clear, "I
am God, You are not separate from God". It is just a matter of self
enquiry and self realisation. As Swami has always told, "Look within
and you will know who you are". Even though He may not be with us
PHYSICALLY, He will be with us EVERY TIME.
At a time when the Sai movement was spreading all
over the world, at a time when even non-beleivers were in the verge
of becoming devotees, at a time even when the "rajasic" were
becoming "satvic", Swami seemed to have left every one in the middle
of the "divine work", which definitely is a huge burden on devotees
who were blessed to be in His fold. When Swami was in the body,
there were so many rumours as who would take over the "charge" of
Swami's divine work. Did He appoint any one? Can there be any one
who will be as good as Him? Can that person run the proceedings like
Swami did?
Each one of us are the GUARDIANS of His divine
work. Each one of us have that prime duty to safeguard the
"TREASURES" He has left. The Five Human Values, Sathya, Dharma,
Shanthi, Prema and Ahimsa are Sai's TREASURES. If this is taken care
by every one us, Our Omnipresent and Omniscience Sai will be very
happy.
No doubt the next time you visit Parthi, it will
be entirely a different scene. There won't be any devotees who will
be running towards the ashram with cushions in hands for darshan.
The divine enquiries like "where are you from?" " How many", "Be
happy, happy" and so on will no longer be asked. Swami who used to
make us happy with His beautiful smile will no longer be seen but
Swami who is very much within us will always be with us, patting us,
encouraging us, guiding us and also correcting us.
Brothers and Sisters, all those fortunate ones
who could see the LIVING AND LOVING God in physical form and all
those who could feel the LIVING AND LOVING God's omnipresent form,
we all have tons of work to do. No doubt we can tell the future
generations that "Yes we have seen our beloved Lord Sri Sathya Sai
Baba, I have felt His love, I have spoken to Him, I have fallen in
His sight, I have made Him happy and so on" but we shouldn't forget
the importance of this GREAT FORTUNE. The MISSION of Sri Sathya Sai
Avatar doesn't end with His physical form, infact the real MISSION
has started now.
Brothers and Sisters, loss of a dear one is
always painful and when we lose Swami, whom we always considered as
the only HOPE, it is more painful, but Swami has told us "not to
limit" Him to His physical form rather work towards implementing His
valuable teachings.
That would be a great and right tribute to our
beloved Lord,
O Swami, Thank You for your valuable time You
preferred to spend with us, thank You for all the guidance, Thank
You for coming down to earth to teach us the real meaning of LIFE
and finally thank You for being YOU......
SEE YOU SOON SWAMI....... COME BACK SOON AS PREMA
SAI... The whole Man Kind will be eagerly waiting for You...
Jai Sai Ram
Satish Naik - 24.04.2011
Viewing Swami’s body
Where to start? I put on my best and left to line up to view Swami’s
body about 4.30 pm and there were many already there waiting outside
the gates.
I was rather surprised at all the news/media vans that were outside
as this morning there were only a few and now there are dozens and
dozens from all over India. How did they get here so fast?
The police have had a very difficult job on their hands as the
village people ‘God Bless them” were desperate to get in and see
their beloved Swami. Yes there was a big crush while we were outside
waiting to get inside the ashram as they closed all the gates some
were afraid they would not get in so there was a lot of unrest to
say the least. The men were quite aggressive and some of the police
were hurt not too badly but never the less they were hurt.
The women were also desperate but it seemed okay and that there was
nothing to fear. For a moment while waiting outside the gate
everything seem to slow down and I had the strangest feeling I had
done this before no not with Swami but maybe with some other Swami
or Saint or maybe Shirdi Sai??? When we actually got to the gate to
enter the hall then it really got scary it was truly a crush to get
in and I mean crush I could feel all my organs and ribs being slowly
crushed... The crowd pushed from one side then to the other and one
knew without a doubt if you ended up on the ground there was no way
you would come back up. Of course our Swami still taking care and we
safely got in.
Once inside it started to calm down and then there was a single file
with sava dalls the whole way on each side of the line. They were
rushing us through but as I got close to see Swami they stopped me
and allow others from a side line to enter. It was actually perfect
because where I was stop I had a full view of Swami for a few
minutes.
Swami is in a glass coffin in His orange robe of course His eyes are
open and He is as beautiful as ever. Of course knowing it was the
last time we would see Him in His psychical body it was very sad but
yet there was a strong feeling of love in the hall Swami’s energy
was there. Once they got the line moving again they rushed us
through so I was very grateful that they stopped the line I was in.
I’m not sure how to explain it, it feels like He is still with us
(which of course He is) and yet sad to know the body has ended.
There were many of course who’s cries were un-controllably and still
it seemed many were in shock and still could not believe it. Well as
you can imagine it has been very emotional time here in Puttaparthi.
The viewing will go on until 2 am and then start again at 5 am. I
don’t think there is much chance to get to sleep early tonight so I
may just go out again after mid night and see how things are who
knows maybe I can have another viewing and find my shoes.
These are amazing times and it will still take a few days for it all
to sink in. They say that Swami will have a state funeral which I
think is due on Wednesday but some say Tuesday. I won’t be here but
my friend will let me know what happens and I would say there will
be even more police because a lot of the politicians with be coming
to it. It could be quite a crazy time.
One thing also some of you know that Swami’s nephew was in a very
bad car accident a couple of months ago but I did not realize how
bad he was injured. They had him sitting on a chair and he seemed
not able to keep himself up straight and that was quite sad to see
and the nephew without saying was so very sad and upset.
There are those who are hoping, praying and believe that Swami will
rise again in two days, what an event that would be. Humans always
look for some kind of hope which is a good thing.
Bye for now my friends…
Much love and God bless us all,
email sent by a sai devotee on 25.04.2011...
PROF.ANIL KUMAR'S SATSANG WITH PUTTAPARTHI
DEVOTEES 23RD APRIL 2011
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
As mentioned in my earlier email, Bhakthi TV conducted Bhajans in
Pedda Venkamaraju Kalyana Mandapam (Swami's old ashram) in
Puttaparthi for Swami's speedy recovery. Bhakthi TV has been
conducting these bhajan sessions in various towns in Andhra Pradesh
since Swami's hospitalisation.. As the devotees were immersed in the
bhajans, Prof. Anil Kumar was kind enough to attend the programme as
we were thinking, is he going to speak and in no time, the mike was
in his hand.
As the audience were mostly Telugu speaking except a group of 50
devotees from Germany who are now on Parthi Visit inspite of the
news that Swami is being hospitalised Prof. Anil Kumar spoke in
Telugu, highlighting the importance and majesty of Sai Avatar.
Inspite of coming from different faiths, you will see equanimity
only in Puttaparthi. At the Abode of Veda Purusha, Sri Sathya Sai
Baba, you will find even citizens of Iran and Japan, chanting vedas
with perfect pronunciation some times much better than some Indians.
He also appreciated the German devotees for singing bhajans with
utmost devotion even though it was not the same cuture they grew up
in.
Prof.Anil Kumar said, we cannot "limit" Swami to
any culture, any country, any region. It so happened one day, that
pointing to some people Prof. Anil Kumar said to Swami: Swami if it
was in our country, in our state, our Telugu people we wouldn't have
behaved like that. Swami looked at Prof. Anil Kumar and said, can
you repeat once again. Prof. Anil Kumar thought, He impressed Swami
and repeated the same lines and then Swami replied, Don't "confine"
me to any region or any language.
Prof. Anil Kumar who usually, stays away from making any "non
spiritual comments" poured his heart in support of the trust
members. As many of us would know, there are some anti-Swami
elements which are making un necessary write ups on Swami's
organisations. Referring to Mr. Chakravarthi, Prof.Anil Kumar said:
He is a person who has bravely discarded a lucrative IAS (Indian
Administrative Service) career at such a young age just for the sake
of serving Swami and obeyed the "divine command" with no second
thought.. Can any one speak anything about such a great sacrifice.
Sri.Giri is such a person, who also opted for voluntary retirement
at a stage when he was on a top position in Vigilance department.
Talking of Sri.Indulal Shah, Prof.Anil Kumar
said, He is the Bheesmacharya of Sai Organisation. Inspite of being
in his 90s, Sri. Indulal Shah stills "is a humble servant" of our
beloved Lord. The other young man in the trust is Sri. Ratnakar.
Speaking about him, Prof. Anil Kumar said, Sri. Ratnakar is son of
Swami's youngest brother Late. Janaki Ramaiah. I have seen Ratnakar
since his childhood, as he studied in Swami's school from class one
until he finished his MBA from Swami's university. A tender hearted
person, Ratnakar is one of the living example of Swami's ideal
student and also a responsible family member who is always concerned
for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden. Prof. Anil Kumar
said, all the names that I have mentioned are not ordinary people.
They are not short of any "worldy" things. If they had to stay in
their own professions, they would have been living in houses as big
as palaces. Yet they preferred to serve our Lord, even though it
meant, living in small one bed room apartment. How can any one dare
to doubt their integrity.
Prof.Anil Kumar said, in Sai Organisations, no one gives any money
to any one for any kind of favour. Every one comes to Parthi, with
their own money. There is no TA or DA paid to any office bearers.
Every one spends money from their own pocket, some times even for
fellow brothers and sisters as they know it is all Swami's money.
Amidst loud applause from the assembled devotees, He said, our Swami
is every where. How can any one ask Swami to come, when He is very
much here.
It was a talk which was not pre-planned. But at least because of
Bhakthi TV, we were able to listen to this memorable talk by the
chosen devotee, Prof. Anil Kumar.
Some out of context news, Famous cricketer, living legend of modern
day cricket, Sachin Tendulkar has urged all Sai devotees to pray for
our beloved Lord. Sachin Tendulkar, an ardent devotee of Bhagawan
was blessed with various visits to Parthi. On sunday April 28th he
will be turning 38 and he has cancelled his birthday celebration,
considering Swami's ill health.
Sisters and Brothers, Lets not stop praying. Swami will never leave
us, even on a PHYSICAL level.... He is the DIVINE DOCTOR, He will
answer every body's prayers. The efforts of doctors on a human
level, Swami's little DIVINE EFFORT will make every one happy.

Sachin ‘doubtful' for Sunday match (The
Hindu) dt. 23/4/11
V.V. Subrahmanyam
HYDERABAD: Sachin Tendulkar has reportedly put on
hold his plans to lead Mumbai Indians against Deccan Chargers in the
ongoing IPL-4 on Sunday, which also happens to be his birthday, in
view of deteriorating health condition of Sri Satya Saibaba of
Puttaparthi.
According to highly placed sources in the Hyderabad Cricket
Association, Sachin who is anxiously following the condition of Baba
is yet to decide whether or not to play the match to be held here.
Being an ardent follower of Baba, Sachin never
missed an opportunity to visit Prashanti Nilayam whenever he was
free. Recently, Hyderabadi cricketer V.V.S. Laxman and he sought the
blessings of Saibaba, just before the World Cup.
That Sachin realised his dream of being a member
of the World Cup winning squad is now history.
Interestingly, the HCA official reveals that the
Intelligence Department has also been sounded on the possibility of
Sachin pulling out of the match.
“One thing which is certain for now is that
Sachin will not have any birthday bash, given the critical condition
of Baba,” says the official. Sachin was earlier said to have planned
a party with his teammates on April 23 in the hotel before joining
his family and close friends at dinner the next day.

Aum Shri Sai Ram - 5PM 23RD APRIL 2011,
SWAMI'S HEALTH REPORT
Saturday, 23 April, 2011 8:44 PM
Om Sairam dearest Sai Family
Puttaparthi is now completely immersed in prayers. starting from
this evening 5pm, devotees have assembled in Kalyana Mandapam
(Swami's old ashram, opposite Hanuman temple) for a special two day
bhajan session which will be going live in Bhakthi TV. Mean while,
the media are playing their part projecting their own conclusions
and ideas, but what we devotees are now focused on is Swami's speedy
recovery.
Andhra Pradesh State minister Mrs.Geetha Reddy,
spoke to the media this morning and shared how she came to Swami's
fold. She and her husband being medical doctors were in USA, when
suddenly her husband had a paralysis stroke. They were immediately
rushed to a very famous hospital and when they reached there, one of
the doctors, after learning that they were from India, told them
about Swami. The couple were very eager about this and immediately
rushed to Parthi. Swami directly went to her husband (in darshan
lines) and rubbed his shoulder and said "Bangaru, don't worry, every
thing will be fine". Later in the same darshan, Swami went to Mrs.
Geetha Reddy and said, don't worry about your husband. he will be
perfectly all right. This incident probably happened about 3 decades
ago.
She said some thing very interesting thing about
Swami which I thought would make every one happy. She said she saw
Swami in the ICU, BP and heart beat are fluctuating, but His face
still has the same glow like before. This was a great news and when
it was told by some one like her who has actually been to the ICU, I
thought it is ideal to share with Sai family.
Jai Sai Ram
