Dear Gods and Goddesses of the globe,

On 31st December 2011 (2pm to 7pm) (New Year’s Eve) the next global Gayatri Mantra chanting programme shall take place. This programme will mark two full years (!) of us devotees (from over 20 countries), coming together and chanting. -And so, a special announcement regarding the importance and potency of the Gayatri mantra has been explained by Veda Narayana himself (please keep reading for further details on how to watch the video online)... Veda Narayana has been chosen by Sai Baba to teach the vedas / chanting / praying to the students at Prashanti Nilayam, and he has spent 35 Dasara festivals in the presence of the God incarnation; Sathya Sai Baba!

From the very first programme that took place in February 2010, this event has been blessed with so many divine visiting cards’ from God. On one programme, Sai Baba appeared on a glass of water (please see the attached photographs). Before the last programme in October 2011; devotees from a Sai Centre were questioning the purpose of this programme and so they asked Sai Baba to give them a sign about the programme's validity... - Baba manifested vibuthi on a printed version of the email that had been sent out, which described the purpose of the this programme (please see the attached photographs) - Below is a 'recap' for the purpose of this programme:

We are chanting for God’s physical well-being. To ask the embodiment of pure love that He himself also uses his unconditional light, love and infinite energy to also heal, cure and take care of His own physical well-being. Swami explained that unless we ask Him; God shall not take care and think of Himself. So it is a natural response from His children to now ask Him! Let’s always ask and never stop! – Everything He does is for us, for our benefit, as He needs nothing. So you may now ask; if He needs nothing why are we doing this? – The answer is so that we are a practicing reflection of His own pure unconditional love. He gives to us. We express the love back to Him. We pray and ask Him to look after His beautiful form(s) as a mark of respect, as an expression of unconditional love! He is aware of all: All joy. All pain. He is omni-conscious. However, even though is aware; He is also above it. -Unattached. Yet, if you ask does He feel pain also? The answer is yes, He is aware of all. He himself has declared that many devotees do not realise that not only does God feel joy but He also feels their suffering and pain (but He always remains in perfect bliss). When we do good; He feels it. When we do‘bad’; He also feels it! - Only, we are not to worry, as the difference with Him is that He is detached, being the embodiment of equanimity! Truly speaking, He is unaffected by anything, but He is aware. - He is being, awareness, bliss. He is love and light and all is always good to Him. However, as a mark of respect; we should show him love by asking him not to endure such events of physical suffering onto Himself. – (At His will of course). - All is His will alone...

"Many men and women were seated in the gallery, but I took care that none noticed My injuries. I pretended as though nothing had happened. The Vice Chancellor was worried, thinking that Swami was unable to get up. I knew that any further delay would cause anxiety in the minds of devotees. So, I immediately got up, forgetting the pain, and started blessing the devotees waving My hands. The pain was very severe, and the cut on My hand was so deep as though it was pierced with a knife. Actually the sleeve of the robe covering My hand should have been torn before I got the injury. But the cloth was not torn at all. This incident gives you a glimpse of the infinite power of Divinity.

…I detached Myself from the body. My body was numb. There was no sensation whatsoever."

- Sai Baba (an extract taken from Sathya Sai Speaks, Volume 32 part 1)

Further to this point; I would like to mention that some may ask why we are continuing to chant for God's well-being if the form of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has taken maha-samadhi? The answer is very obvious. Who is Sathya Sai Baba? Who is Shirdi Sai Baba? Who is Jesus? Who is Buddha? Who is Rama, Krishna, Vishnu, Gayatri, Laxmi, Mary, Hanuman, and who is Prema Sai Baba? – The same one and only Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba; the same one entity of pure love: God!

I love the following pure and simple words of Truth that He has spoken, and so I now appropriately repeat them here:

"I incarnate from age to age..."

- Sai Baba (taken from the 'Milestone' discourse).

– So why would we ever stop now that He has passed on this valuable knowledge to us (?!)... We do not stop...- This programme is uniting devotees all over the world to come together and it is teaching us all to have unconditional love for God, and to express that Love it to Him! – Baba has explained that loving God unconditionally without any expectation or asking for anything in return is the highest type of devotion! – Love God for the simple and pure sake of loving Him. Love Him alone, asking for nothing in return. Our joy and reward is in loving Him!

A devotee living in New Zealand (whose name I shall withhold), does a lot of Sai Baba’s work for mankind, including being the editor of the International Sai Organisation website and who works closely to Anil Kumar, sent in this email:

“Sai Ram Dear God's Children,

I am ******* from Wellington, NZ (official editor of the International Sai Organisation website). I have been guded and blessed by Swami to participate in this programme as it is a selfless act of unconditional love. In my humble opinion the programme has to go on in a full swing, in fact with more intensity and larger participation from children of God all around the globe. Praying for the Physical well being of God could be the highest and best expression of love to the Manifested form of an incarnation of God, in this instance, it is Sathya Sai Baba

For various reasons known only to Him He has chosen to withdraw His chosen Divine physical form at His will at a specific time. But in my humble understanding that does not stop us from praying for Him or His physical well-being as He is that manifested form and all other forms of manifestations that we have ever seen and will ever continue to see. Not only that, in His unmanifested Comic form is contained the entire creation - either in the manifested or unmanifested form, out of which He, at His own Divine will and in His own time, might choose another Divine manifested physical form to adorn Mother Earth yet again. So I consider this to be a glorious opportunity for all of us to come together as one family celebrating the brotherhood of man and fatherhood of our one and only God who is all Love.

Thank you ***** for all your initiative and efforts in making this programme possible and going very well
.
My grateful humble Pranams at the Ever-nectarine Divine Lotus Feet”

- I share the above email with you all, as it so well expresses the love and support from so many genuine souls, and there are so many highly respected and well-known devotees that support and participate in this programme. Even to this day, I hear from so many new devotees. Often, when I ask how they have come to know of the chanting (?), they explain that Baba Himself has appeared in their dream or performed miracles, asking them to join in with this Gayatri Mantra chanting.

Here is an opportunity to watch an exclusive video clip containing a message from Veda Narayana; explaining the meaning and potency of the Gayatri Mantra:

A Christmas message:

“THE meaning of Avathaar (Divine Incarnation) is this: to save mankind, God out of His love, affection and compassion, comes down to the level of man and arouses the Divine Consciousness in man. He makes man aware of Him in him, when He finds him desperately searching outside of himself for Him who is his very core. God alone is the guru; others can at best be Upaadhyaayas or Adhyaapaks (teachers, instructors). The Guru out of His infinite compassion and wisdom counsels the most beneficent path. The shishya (pupil) out of his infinite devotion, follows it and attains the goal. Arjuna said, after listening to the Lord's counsel, "Karishye vachanam thava," "I shall act according to your words." You have to be pupils like him. Then, you can live in peace and joy in this warring world of misery and demonstrate in your lives the excellence of the Bhaaratheeya (Indian) tradition and culture.

God is Eternal Power, Omnipotent, Omniscient. He is the cause and consequence---the potter, the clay and the pot. Without God, there can be no Universe. He willed and the Universe happened. It is His play, the manifestation of His power. Man embodies His Will, His power, His Wisdom. But, he is unaware of this glory. The cloud of ignorance veils the truth. God sends sages, saints and prophets to unveil the Truth and Himself appears as an Avathaar (divine incarnation) to awaken and liberate him.

Resolve to practise what all Jesus taught Two thousand years ago, when narrow pride and thick ignorance defiled mankind, Jesus came as the embodiment of Love and compassion and lived among men, holding forth the highest ideals of life. You must pay attention to the lessons he elaborated in the various stages of his life. 'I am the Messenger of God,' he declared, first. Yes. Each individual has to accept that role and live as examples of Divine Love and Charity. The guru must; act as the alarm-clock; he should awaken the sleeper to his duty to himself. " Uththishtha! jaagratha, " as the Upanishaths proclaim---"Arise! Awake." And bear witness to the God within, in every thought, word and deed.

This day, Christmas is celebrated. Bring to mind the words he uttered, the advice he offered, the warning he gave, and decide to direct your daily lives along the path he laid down. His words must be imprinted on your hearts and you must resolve to practise all that he taught. Above all, recognise this truth: Sai is in all. When you hate another, you are hating Sai; when you hate Sai, you are hating yourself When you inflict pain on another name, remember that the other is yourself, in another form, with another name. Envy causes pain on those who are envied. When another's fortune is green, why should your eyes be red? Why get wild when another eats his fill? Give up this vice of envy; be happy when another is happy. That is more pleasing to the Lord than all the manthras you recite, or all the flowers you heap on his picture or image, or even the hours you spend in japam or dhyaanam (silent recitation of holy words or meditation).”

- Sai Baba (Sathya Sai Speaks, Volume 14)

Happy Christmas to you all and God bless you infinitely..

(Please do forward this email on to others to spread the message of unity and chanting to express unconditional love to God).

The Gayatri Mantra:

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayath

It's Meaning:

We meditate on that Isvar's glory, who has created the universe, who is fit to be worshipped, who is the embodiment of knowledge and light, the remover of all sins and ignorance. May He enlighten our intellects.
